Hey guys,
I am a new player to TOW and so far played around 7 games with my Lizardmens. I have upcoming 1250 points torunament with the hard rule of 3. I have prepared below list and wanted to ask Your opinions on it.
Couple of remarks from my side:
- So far I have been greatly dissapointed with Slann. I felt like all the games I played with him i spend most of the time trying to keep him alive and prevent the massive point loss that he is. The only game that he performed rather well was when I had Ethereal on him and my opponent had no Magical attacks and only one lvl 2 caster - which is not too common I think.
- Becasue of that I decided to drop magic entirely and go Full Combat this time. I feel like magic is underwhelming anyway and with this point limit people won't bring many lvl 4 casters to spam magic on me.
- I am really happy with how 2 Carnosaurs fit into this point format, both with 5+ Ward Save and the General also with additional not modified 5+ armour save.
- I am concerned with the unit sizes of the skinks - is 16 still playable? I did them this size because of the hard rule of 3 in the torunament (even on core...). So far I've run them in units of 12 and honestly there were times when it was a little clunky (blocking charges/marches of other units etc) and I felt like maybe 10 is the ideal size. So I'm afraid a little of unit size of 16. Would Yo ureduce their unit sizes and go for something else, maybe additional Chameleons unit (which i like far less then regular skinks) or buffing up the Saurus block?
- Looking for some advice on the Steg as well - would You keep it? Other option is to take Bastiladon instead and use the point to buff up the Saurus block.
Any advices?
