Really messing around with a lot of list ideas here (as you can see this is list #8). Event is 2250, no restrictions (but I am trying to keep to the rule of 3 as a personal choice so I can just be used to it for other events)
Some decisions- Went with Ogre Blade on the Old Blood over Blade of Revered Tzuki. I think I would go with the revered blade at 2k, as its generally more useful in the event you charge heavy infantry, regular infantry etc. But at 2250 I feel there will be Dragons. Unavoidable. And as such the Ogre Blade just seems better over all with the multi-wound and higher S.
For the Chief, wanted to just make him a static combat res machine. I see charmed shield alot for the one time 5+ ward, but chose enchanted shield here. Idea is that I get an all the time 6+ against great weapons with that.
Original lists had no TG but a Giant Saurus block and then Ethereal on the Slann, but it was hard to get an Old Blood, BSB slann and Priest on Ancient Steg with a EotG for a double EotG list. Basically would have to go to scar vet or lose the BSB, and wasn't happy with either at this points level. So Instead dropped a special (was messing with Krox or Terras) and added the TG.
For the TG, Rampaging banner to make charges and then PoT and Charmed Shield on the Champion- Essentially Make him an old blood for a turn of challenges.
With the TG I now could take other disciplines. While Soul of Stone is my usual backup go to, Becalming seemed nice just for the extra 3" of dispel. The added dice is a nice bonus.
