GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

GeeDubs have backpedalled and released the rules for Prince Ulther's Dragon Company. Either there was a backlash, or somebody within the company pointed out that there was no way the rules were going to be hidden in the current age.

...Dwarfs in light armour is weird...

Or perhaps your influence is greater than you know. GW saw your post and changed course accordingly! :)

Egads, you are right! I promise to use this power wisely... :p

Not too sure about that new Stormvermin... The shapeless void look doesn't really scream Skaven to me. I think stormvermin, I think big angry rats. So, interesting direction there... :-P

In seriousness, why announce stormvermin and then not show a picture. In my skim reading the article, I actually missed the fact that the next image was for the Arch-Warlock, which was also getting me thinking that it was not a direction I wanted to see the stormvermin go.

Now that classic terrain? Ooh, my wallet might be hating me at some point in the not too distant future (next sunday AD).

Low left pic.
They did not cared to fill that huge gap in the model used to represent the new range?!?
Don’t know you, but for me it's 0/10
That does look pretty bad (still much better than I could do though ). How should gaps like that be filled? With that "green stuff" they sell?

Greenstuff or milliput. I've heard of a technique where you use plastic glue in the seams and then sprinkle plastic shavings in while the glue is still activating, but I've not seen that one in action, so damned if I know if that's actually a viable method. I vaguely recall thinking of something like that, but trying to sand the seam while the glue was in there and... I got a hot mess.

Thanks for pointing that out, now I can't unsee it

That gap does seem rather obnoxious, but judging by all other models, I think it is the new style of higher-ranking Skaven. Robes and cloaks that dissolve on the go, perhaps referring to the Lords of Decay.

That, or this is GeeDubs subtly hinting at a new skaven faction... Slaaneshi worshipping rats, with clothes that dissolve to better get busy with the furry populations of the Cities of Sigmar. *troll face*

GW makes the best looking models in the world (in my opinion), but their gaps have been getting increasingly horrific over the years. Before it felt like most gaps were strategically tucked away into areas where they would not be visible, but now we've got them all over the models, including on surfaces that make them very obvious and troublesome. I think a lot of this comes down to GW slicing up models into an increasing number of pieces/components.

Some great models there, particularly the new Poisoned Wind Globadiers, but I'm still left a little disappointed... nothing in the way of brand-new units (some new named characters, yes, but they'll only exist in the AoS universe so they can't really be brought into Fantasy), Stormvermin now look to be in a box of 10 rather than 20 probably for the same price, and most importantly two of the oldest kits in the Skaven range, Night Runners and Plague Monks, didn't get a reboot. They were willing to pointlessly remake Clanrats and Stormvermin yet avoid remaking two kits that really did need one!

But then, GW have always sucked at taking advantage of opportunities as I've mentioned many a time before.

Saw this on the official Facebook page... absolutely glorious. Here's hoping the 8th Edition-era terrain pieces also come back in a later release. Though if they release any new terrain in feature, I hope it won't be Empire themed - between these old buildings and the 8th Edition ones we'll have plenty of Empire scenery.

I'll be interested in picking up the hills and the Walls and Fences myself. Already have the Arcane Ruins and not interested in the Empire-themed buildings.

How much for a Warhammer Hill? :D

Probably £50 per cookie-cutter hill. Alternatively, $20 for more custom rigid foam hills than you have table space for.

The Hills will be in boxes of two judging by the image, so if the box does cost £50, at least it'll be just £25 per individual hill which is around the same as it used to be.

It almost seems like they are unwilling to pivot their multi-billion dollar company to suit your own personal whims! ;)

Which specific 8th edition era pieces would you like GW to release in the future?
