I would argue that Andor is a regular failure, not an abject failure. Basically Andor was dragged down by the poor reputation of Disney Star Wars in general.

That... and the fact that Andor was never that popular of a character. Most people weren't exactly crying out for a spinoff series. Even if the show was actually good (I've never seen it), how many people actually bothered to watch it.

Maybe some of the performers or set crew are really dumb and short sighted and believed they were helping LGBT rights, but I'm going to focus on whoever organized this.

I don't know who was in charge of the planning of this. I have to assume they don't actually care about LGBT rights.

I'm not a theater kid, but I hung out with a lot of theater kids in college. It talks a lot of work to choregraph anything. Anyway who can coordinate a complicated show with multiple actors and props and moving effects is at least a little above average intelligence.

I cannot believe that anyone smart enough to coordinate a complex show is also dumb enough to not understand how people are going to react to something like this at least in broad terms.

One or all of these things is true. In rough order of plausibility.

1) They are trolls and they just want to offend because they get off on this.

2) They hate Christianity

3) They hate the West.

4) They are playing 4D chess are and are actually trying to harm the LGBT community.

My best guess it's a troll who happens to be an atheist.

It's not even French. If they wanted to mock France, they'd invoke Notre Dame instead of the Last Supper. Then set it on fire.
