I HAVE THE POWER!!! (in terms of forum milestones)

We've veered a bit of topic, but I've got just the milestone to put us back on course. I just passed a quarter of a million likes!

Cheers to all those that hit the like button over the years! View attachment 148030

Congrats, and you're most welcome, you'll notice you've been given a few more today ;)

True, you must pick two:
  • pick fights with the most powerful opponents you can find until either you or they are all dead
  • read some books and cast some magic
  • contract a whole slew of disgusting diseases
  • hookup with a hot chick

As you said, personal preferences. ;)

Khorne: strenght and power, what's not to like? I'm the master of myself.
Tzeentch: the ability to manipulate destiny. It is appealing to people that are basically the opposite of Khorne's follower
Nurgle: promises immortality and no more suffering. Depending on the people, it can be really tempting
Slaanesh: Luxury and pleasure are really strong motivations that drive men and that can erase any reasoning.

Yeah the more I look at it that way, the more I start to see Tzeentch as my favourite god.

Khorne - Definitely the place for dim-witted, muscle-bound gym-bods who think might should make right and worship 'Red Pill' content on YouTube. In short the guys who are the opposite of me, as @Killer Angel touched on.

Nurgle - No thanks, I choose life :hungover:

Slaanesh - While the temptation is always there, I seek a long-term relationship rather than degenerate hookups so I'd be more difficult to tempt than most. Especially as living a hooking up lifestyle very often leads to joining the Nurgle club anyway...

Tzeentch - Knowledge is power and being able to manipulate my destiny means I can command my life to play out in the way I want it, giving me assurance and security. Not to mention I get to hang out with cool birdmen and potentially join an Egyptian-themed Space Marine Chapter. Yes please!

I wonder if an extreme introvert could consider the Nurgle options, just to be sure he'll be left alone. :p

Nurgle followers have a weird sense of community. Nurglings are really tightly bound together. I think Tzeentch would be the best introvert's infernal lord and Khorne would be the second best for introverts.

Khorne's followers want to get out and meet people, so they're more extroverted. The fact that they then want to FIGHT those people is irrelevant.

Tzeentch is certainly the big introvert club, you get to dabble in and mull over knowledge all day and you're actively making sure to avoid others to make sure you don't get betrayed through some twist of fate.

Nurgle followers are particularly joyful, but they're so disgusting that they'd only ever be able to (or want to) show and experience that joy with like-minded (and similarly diseased) people - essentially like a leper colony only strangely happy that they are infected. A particularly exclusive club that is easy to join but is the hardest to leave. Thus I would say that Nurgle followers are the second most introverted.

Then as others have pointed out Khornate followers want to fight and kill each other all day, and Slaanesh followers want to *do things* with each other all day, so are the more extroverted Chaos Gods.

I am arrogant enough to believe that I am right and 99% of the world is wrong. I'd be pretty easy for Tzeentch to win over.

Blue pill is living in and working in poverty without complaint and dying for the emperor without hesitation.

Dying for the Emperor is preferable to being captured by the Dark Eldar or turned into one of those floating skulls.

Are they the best Chaos Gods?
My question spawned such awesome discussion on this thread and on the Chaos thread too!

:):)

You guys are full of useful insights and viewpoints. Fun stuff!

You're unstoppable!!! That is a crazy number of posts! :woot:
@Killer Angel is pretty much unstoppable. Who is to challenge him? The only one with even a remote chance is @Imrahil , but the gap between the two is still quite significant.

The truest threat to @Killer Angel 's reign was my Chaos Dwarf brother @Lizards of Renown , before his forum departure. At one point, he was on pace to capture the silver medal position, but I now feel that @Killer Angel 's claim is uncontested!
