One of the reasons I laugh at meme like this is because they do in fact cause most of their own problems. I'm in decent shape, I eat well, go to the gym and stay away from too much TV. One of the guys I work with complains that it's not fair that he's overweight. He asked me for help and despite my knowing better I said I would try. Everything I suggested he didn't want to do and he said nothing worked. He literally wanted a magic cure for being 50lbs overweight. Shovel $hit on your target audience and expect success is an exercise in stupidity.
 
I've been watching a lot of videos covering the upcoming Disney vote. Here's my attempt at creating a cliff notes version.

Disney's marketing team has spun this as "an attempt to oust Bob Iger". It is not. Nelson Peltz wants on the board. If he got on the board, he would still be greatly outnumber by Iger loyalists. He would not be able to oust Iger even if that was is goal.

It's not that threatening. The fact that Iger and his cronies are freaking out suggests one of two things.

1-Iger is batshit crazy.
2-Iger did something illegal.

If Peltz was on the board, he would not be able to really do much to stop Iger from making the decisions he has been doing, but Peltz would get to look at all the books.

So, logically, Iger is worried if Peltz got on the board, his dirty laundry would be exposed.

Or logic goes out the window.

It will be interesting to see what falls out.

As most of you know, I'm not big into 40k, so this fails to create a visceral response in me. Furthermore, as an exclusively 8th edition WHFB player, I'm fully insulated from GW potentially going completely woke. GW are incapable of hurting my hobby. That said, I am curious how some of you that are more invested in 40k (like @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl for instance) feel about this. Is it a big deal or something that is being overblown by a potentially small proportion of the fan base? Personally, I don't see the need for it, as we've already got the female equivalent in the form of the Adepta Sororitas (who I actually prefer over the Space Marines or Adeptus Custodes anyways), but nor am I particularly perturbed by it either. As I said, I'm not particularly well versed in 40k. I know this is a deviation from existing lore, but is it a significant one?

Now that I understand the reference, I'll be able to pass along some of the femstodes memes. Memes for the meme god!
