Yes- I have no Magic.
In 1k games, I figured you are typically only going to really see level 2 mages. Maybe level 3. But most people won't spring for a level 4 lord. As such there will be less spells in play and a lower chance of success. So I have more faith in leaving it to my one dispel attempt.
But this is also why I took some of the items I did. Talisman and Meteoric on the Chief for the 5+ unmodifiable /5+ ward on a stegadon. Also my BSB
Then I am running a cowboy! I was originally thinking giant blade and Enchanted Shield, but figured he'd be exposed too easily to magic missiles, so opted for the spell shield and dropped down to a Biting Blade. Obligatory Horned One to avoid stupid.
General idea of the list is that people won't be ready to face down 2 behemoths at 1k. That's essentially it.
