Am I the only one deriving such intense feelings of joy from the absolute failure of The Marvels?

You guys don't know what you're missing! As these franchises and companies burn to the ground, I'm using the heat from their death to roast some marshmallows and make some s'mores.

I'm really glad it fails for a number of related reasons and (hopefully) consequences for the world of cinema, but at this point the fate of MCU is no more a thing i care for.

Agreed. The MCU is dead, but I'm sure all these other companies see its very painful financial demise. If the MCU (the most financially successful movie franchise of all time) can fail, so can anyone else.

And then there is always the pure unadulterated enjoyment of revenge!

But I do not feel a need to celebrate being right, particularly when the thing I'm right about is only slightly less predictable than the sun rising in the East and setting in the West.

Easily predictable for us... yes. Easily predictable for others (including others on this forum)... definitely not. I've engaged in enough debates to know better.

It's sad that people like him can hang onto multi-million a year jobs while running the company into the ground. You could pick somebody at random and they would likely do a much better job.

Allegedly, there was a brief scene in The Marvels where Carol Danvers and Valkyrie make an offhand comment about being ex girlfriends that had an amiable split.

It is noted from those who seen the movie with a critical eye, that the scene between Danvers and Valkyrie that was in the movie is short and poorly explained, suggesting it was cut down.

Some SJWs are saying that Disney was cowards for cutting this out. Some speculate that they cut this because of South Park. Though they could have cut this for CCP censors. Either or both. It is common that overt homosexual moments in Disney movies are made short so they can be easy to remove for Chinese or Middle Eastern audiences.

Who knows, there were was a lot of editing and chopping. The final product of The Marvels is almost 30 minutes shorter than was originally shot.
