Goddammit Canada! I blame the US, as most of these ideas permeate from there. Canada often lacks its own identity and is very much US lite (in most, but not all regards). Maybe I just feel this way to make myself feel better about the situation
You're not alone in this, I also blame America for the rise of wokeism, because of course that's where it originated.
Indeed I blame America for everything that's caused the West to decline, because these things happened after the US rose to power (or rather, stole power and wealth from the European nations) at the end of the Second World War - the so-called 'Sexual Revolution', the rise of 'celeb culture', Ferengi-level capitalism, supercorporations, the decline of quality in art, music and TV. All of it rose principally in the US and spread through its bullying influence into the countries it had colonised during the latter half of the 20th Century with its military bases and garrisons of troops (which are still there today to some degree).
The crazy thing over here in Britain is we have our own identity, yet so many people here are deluded in thinking American language, attitudes, spelling and media are somehow better, probably all through a bigger delusion that the US is 'cool' and 'trendy', that Britain is supposedly 'broken' as so many people in our media are trying to promote, and that our own far more sophisticated culture is 'old-fashioned' and 'dull'. Indeed it's an abomination that where once my country was renowned as a land of dignified and refined gentlemen and ladies, it is now more well known for the filthy 'chav' culture adopted by societal dregs through influence perpetrated by American rap and street culture.
With regards to Canada, I am surprised to be honest that it has become so Americanised - given that Britain helped fight to protect it against American invasion during the War of 1812 and Canada fought so valiantly with Britain and the rest of the Commonwealth against tyranny for all of both World Wars, one would think it would be happy to not be part of the US (and not be under Trump or Biden
) and thus try to preserve a distinct, non-Americanised culture.
Of course, if I'm to play devil's advocate (against myself)...
Of course it is my own people who are the fools for following barbarian views and attitudes... but I am not one of them, and I will not follow them. I will not be a pathetic naysayer or Americanist as so many people in my country are.
And of course that goes for all of us, we shall not follow the wokist regime that is trying to take over each of our countries! Each of us has used our own mind to realise the falsehoods of the woke community, and while we each live and breathe, we shall be pockets of anti-woke resistance that deny them money and support.
