Yeah, can't really argue this. "I am Ozymandius, King of Kings," and so forth. People know the rulers of Ancient Egypt, Babylonia, Assyria, and so forth mostly from various monuments they erected (and some clay tablets that got a little overcooked). Nobody really remembers how stressed out they were or how hard they worked (with a few notable exceptions who were complained about in stone or writing by subordinates)
