GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Also:

Cities of sigmar knights. The horses heads and necks are 1 degree too small compared to the bodies.

ToW paladin has a dad-bod chest circumference and looks like he brought all his camping supplies to the battlefield, but again looks good.

it has already been christened the "Bacon bus" and alternatively "Bacon truck" on the ironjaws facebook groups.

oh yay. an actual minotaur sculpt that doesn't look like a mass of inflated balloons.

It looks like the model is "generic" enough to be used in fantasy, and not just BB. With it being resin, I guess you could try to drill the left hand and put a weapon in that hand. It's a pretty cool looking sculpt.
Honestly, just stick on a tactical skull with the weapon stuck in it or something. It's a dramatic enough pose he doesn't really need to hold anything, and this way its easier.

But this guy looks so much better than GW's plastic minotaurs! That said, this guy is but a single sculpt, so not much in the ways of creating a full unit.
You could grab the new ogroids and get minotaur heads from eBay. Then greenstuff and boom.

To be honest I think the current plastic ones are fine (again I'm probably one of the few who thinks so, but I'm used to being in the minority, what with my views about the Saurus Cavalry and the new Saurus :p), I like the way the sculptor tried to 'Warhammerify' the Minotaur to make it look a bit different, almost a hybrid of the original Greek interpretation with a human body and the more bestial variant conjured up by numerous fantasy sources in more recent times, without going beyond the bull-man archetype too much as the hideous metals that preceded them (that looked more like Narnia Minoboars with horns) did. Not to mention their hench bodies making them thoroughly deserving of their Strength of 5.

Certainly the Forge World ones (both the standard one they released a while back and this new Star Player) would make great Doombulls or Gorebulls, though I recently managed to buy the one in the same style as the plastic Minotaurs (in metal with Warhammer Fantasy box to boot ).

That's certainly something you can do if you don't like the Minotaurs, but as mentioned above I think they're fine and I'd rather not buy something GW intended to make for Warriors of Chaos as a cruel joke to Beastmen players when I can still get the 100% guaranteed Beastman originals.

That could work.

but I'm used to being in the minority
Hahaha, that's true! :D Prequel Trilogy, Hobbit Trilogy, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, etc. etc.

That's okay, it means we've always got an alternative viewpoint to consider.

I've never been able to get past the fact that the plastic minotaur's heads (at least the unarmored ones)somehow manage to look slightly phallic
