8th Ed. 2.000 Points Tournament List Help

Hi to all Lizzys out there ,

dark times are coming to Lustria and i am seeking your help.

Its been a year more or less, i started playing WH 8. Ed. And for now i have a big army i call my own.
I played many games, but still i get destroyed most of the time.
And if i say destroyed i mean i have to surrender on the 2 or 3 turn...

Now there is a Tournament upcoming with some friends, i would finally be able to come up with a worthy list.

We are playing 8.th Edition (No EoT). And we always play without dispel scroll.

In the tournament there will be: Dwarves, Bretons, Ogre, Vampires, Demons of Chaos and Lizardmen.

It would be very nice, if some good and expierenced players, could help me to create a devastating lizardmen list or at least to have a fair chance .

Seeing the variety of armies you will likely face, I would build an all comers list lead by a Slann. A quick build I came up with goes thusly:

Lords

Slann, BsB, Standard of discipline, Book of Ashur, Ironcurse Icon, either Becalming Cogitation or Soul of Stone and Focus of Mystery

Heroes

Skink priest, lvl2, lore of beasts

saurus scar vet, cold one, light armor, great weapon, talisman of endurance

Core units

30 Saurus, FC, your pick of either hand weapons or spears

3 units of 10 skink skirmishers


Special units

30 Temple Guard, FC, Razor Standard

Stegadon w/sharp horns


Rare units

1 Salamander pack w/extra handler


comes to 1,999/2,000 points

For me ist seems to be a lot of points in Magic for an 2.000 points Game.

Yea I know it's pricey, but it is versatile.With being a loremaster in high magic and high magic's lore attribute, you will have the potential capability to have spells to suit any need. Also a good option for magic protection given that you don't use dispel scrolls.

i just build up your List in battle scribe. I am reaching 2.099 points with the List you sent me. I checked it twice, but i haven‘t made a mistake

If that's the case, you can drop the skink priest and use the high magic lore attribute to pick up Wyssan's wildform. I'm still going to double check my math. Also, it was Becalming Cogitation OR Soul of Stone not both, in case that was overlooked in my original post. You could also drop the second level off the skink priest and the Book of Ashur from the Slann.
