But it does need to actually be different in a significant way.

This is the main issue. We've got our bases covered pretty thoroughly.

Carno - Melee specialist
Bastiladon - Ranged specialist / tank
Stegadon - Hybrid melee / ranged
Troglodon - Wizard / support
EotG - Priest / support
Dread Saurian - Meme

The only thing I can think of is a flier, but it probably needs to do something besides that.

In any case, all I care about is Aggrodons right now :)

Hello new models. Goodbye low points. ;)

Some pretty cool looking models. I'm a little mixed on the looks of a few, but really great to see the range refresh. Curious about what's going to happen with Guard, our Saurus foot heroes, and Razordons.

I wonder what the Aggros will be? Maybe a heavier cavalry, between Cold Ones and a now-possibly-beefier Carnosaur? Or will the Aggrodon Riders replace the current Knights?

Any clues how big all these lizardmen would be compared to the old range?

do you think its possible to use them for Warhammer fantasy? (Saurus and cold ones riders specifically, kroxigors being bigger is perfectly fine jjajajjaj)

Aggradons look to be on the next base size up from Cold Ones, and come in units of 3 rather than 5. The Scar Vet looks to be another size bigger than that.

Online stores have been updated.

It looks the following models/units are being retired from the army, as they no longer appear in the online store:

Saurus Sunblood
Saurus Knights
Scar-Veteran on Cold One
Razordons
Salamanders
Skink Priest on Foot (likely relegated to EotG)

New additions to army and model range:

Scar-Veteran on Aggradon *
Aggradon Lancers *
Kroxigor War Spawned (dual kit with Kroxigor **)
Raptadon Hunters / Raptadon Chargers
Spawn of Chotec (replaces Salamanders)

Updated models and units:

Slann Starmaster
Saurus Astrolith Bearer
Skink Starseer
Saurus Warriors
Kroxigor (dual kit with Kroxigor War Spawned)
Chameleon Skinks (Hunters of Huanchi)

Continuing models/units:

Lord Kroak
Saurus Oldblood on Foot
Skink Starpriest
Saurus Eternity Warden
Carnosaur/Troglodon
Skinks
Temple Guard
Terradons/Ripperdactyls
Bastilladons
Stegadons

N.B. Saurus Eternity Warden remains/returns as our last remaining finecast kit

(*) "effectively replace" Saurus Knights and Scar-Veteran on Cold One respectively - Adepticon reveal stream @ 33:30

There is a skink handler in the front pretty close to the Agradons

Not sure, they will not replace the Saurus Knihgts, at least they did not mention it!
So the Knights will still be around to buy/use for TOW.

Grrr, !mrahil

yeah, I'm guessing the knights will dissappear and the skink cavalry will take their place, while these will serve as heavier cavalry.
Which is nice.

i like that we get Kroxigor variants though, that's rather nice. Hopefully this means they're actually properly incorperated instead of just being a random hanger-on with very little interactions with the rest of the faction.

We're missing an dedicated sturdy melee specialist.

Carno is a melee specialist, but a full class cannon
Bastiladon is an artillery platform, which kinda runs counter to defensive use (kinda ruins your big giant laser if you get stuck in melee and can only shoot in melee, which isn't a great design for a unit, especially considering the laser is the only good weapon he has). Also, it's gimmicky defensive nature means it only is tanky in specific match-ups.
Stegadon is less of a class canon than the carno with its crest, but still nowhere near sturdy. Plus, it's hybrid nature means it's always going to be a bit worse than a proper specialist in either role.

A proper tank would be usefull.

Also, a true support would be good. But that can be fixed by actually giving the troglodon a decent warscroll.

The actual art piece we got a glimpse of in the reveal is cool, but the edited version on that cover feels a bit rough with the weird colour saturating filter they put over all battletome covers now. There’s that weird blurred circle around the top of the saurus that’s pretty odd too

Other than that It’s a great showing for us, I love basically the entire line and the sotek-blessed crocodile kroxigor are a huge highlight

I wonder if the Aggradons will replace cold ones in Old World aswell. Do they come in units of 3?

Definitely prefer the war born kroxigor, actually prefer the resin kroxigor to the base new versions to be honest.

I thought they might axe the current Saurus Cav in favour on the coming Skink Cav. Moving Saurus Cav to heavy cavalry is great. I hope they get the rules to support that playstyle. I wonder what the difference between the two Kroxigor variants is going to be.

New models are amazeballs. The Scar-Vet is super nice.

Continuing models/units:

Lord Kroak
Saurus Oldblood on Foot
Skink Starpriest
Saurus Eternity Warden
Carnosaur/Troglodon
Skinks
Temple Guard
Terradons/Ripperdactyls
Bastilladons
Stegadons

N.B. Saurus Eternity Warden remains/returns as our last remaining finecast kit

The Eternity Warden/Temple Guard are effectively the only units looking out of place now. Skinks hold up pretty well even if they are old and the rest still looks fine. We'll probably only see Skinks getting a new model when all the other skink riding units also get replaced so Stegadons/Bastiladons/Ripperdactyls and Terradons
The old Oldblood is still available on the webstore but is pretty much irrelevant as we have a better version in the Carno kit.

Temple Guard/Eternity Warden also fit perfectly for a small update for the 4. Edition Battletome in the future
Also pretty unlikely but they still haven't shown the spear version of the Saurus even thought we know they can have spears so tiny chance its a dual kit with Temple Guard? Thought I would actually hope its not since it wouldn't be as expensive this way

Also the only units really gone without any replacement are the Sunblood and Razordon

Here I am with my "long-awaited" comment and let's start with the disappointments....
no more spinodont, no more sunblood and no skink priest, I think they have definitely been removed (and I hoped until the end for a dualkit with salamanders for the spino,).
The krokki.... it will be the color, it will be the photos but... the muzzles of the basic ones lack something on the nose, too smooth and curved, I have to look at them, same thing for the crocodile style ones, there is something not okay, but I don't know what.
Nonetheless finally some physically stratospheric krokki! Scales, tails, muscles, everything perfect, weapons included.
Aggradon, the new coldone, are so beautiful, I've been waiting for them like this since the beginning of the sixth edition, not to mention the scar veteran... perfect, then the mask is superb.
I noticed that it has an even bigger base than that of the knights, enormous, as well as the salamander which shows the largest base next to the cavalry of the skinks.
Finally the box, I'm glad they did it, now I just have to decide if it's worth taking two, 20 warriors are fine, but I don't know about 20 cavalry skinks, who knows between how much it comes out and how much it will cost.
Now the most important thing is to start collecting large amounts of money to be able to have it all.
in conclusion I'm really happy, they managed to do a wonderful job, I really couldn't hope for better.
Now if you don't mind I'll go back to looking at them properly, see you

I don't think the saurus are as upscaled as people think.

But... Revered Chotec LOOK AT THEM NEXT TO SKINK SIZED THINGS!?
