Escalonia is more of a spiritual successor to Tolkien given how much inspiration I've taken from real-world ancient history and mythology for it, as well as Warhammer Fantasy and hints of Redwall. Not to mention that I've kept a control on the races and nations I want in my world.

Scarterra is more a spiritual successor to D&D and all the other 80s RPG mythes out there, as it shares their everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach. But then, given how Wizards of the Coast is sending D&D down the pan, it's definitely in need of a spiritual successor, so Scarterra will certainly be well-received as the next RPG sensation. I vote you keep on focusing on achieving this niche.

I fear the man in this video completely misunderstands how the alpha/beta thing breaks down.

I actually never heard of delta or gamma males until I saw the video that PP posted, so I googled the terms and the articles I found describing them actually linked to an advertisement for a sigma male program, just as I predicted.

Anyway the Youtube video above has the following premise.

1-The alpha/beta/sigma nomenclature is a full of crap. True

2-The people who use the terms alpha, beta, and sigma tend to be on the Right side of the political spectrum. Half True, but only because lonely Leftists that have trouble getting laid use a different mating strategy than lonely Rightwingers.

3-By virtue of two wrongs make a right, this means that Right wingers should not criticize the Left artificially creating social construct genders. False.

I will point out that most men on the Right who happen to be married, often like to say that the alpha/beta categorization system is full of crap.

Anyway, based on his premise, he uses some faulty logic to come to conclusion that the Right invented a stupid arbitrary system of divisions for gender roles therefore those on the Right have no basis for criticizing the arbitrary system of divisions for gender roles created by Leftists.

Just like I'm against Communism and Fascism, I am against dumb ideas from the Left and I am against dumb ideas from the Right.

In my opinion, it just so happens that right now, in the United States, the neo-Marxists and idiot Leftists happen to have more political power and media influence than the neo-Fascists and idiot Right wingers.

If the pendulum swings too far the other direction, I will switch sides because I do not want either side of the political aisle to win. I want both political parties to check the worst impulses of the other party while they reluctantly hash out common sense legislation across the political aisle.

Also, the CCP is the greatest threat to the environment, basic human rights and the liberal world order, but the CCP isn't actively ruining Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Willow, Tomb Raider, the Muppets, LOTR, D&D, He-Man, the Witcher, DC, Marvel, and Scooby Doo. Woke politics and Borg like corporations are ruining these things.

EDIT: I suppose there is something called the horseshoe theory that states that at a certain point Far Right governments and Far Left governments start to resemble each other. I would argue that Putin is a Far Right dictator and Winnie the Pooh is a Far Left dictator but they both manufacture oppression and aggression.

Putin is a serious threat to Eastern Europe and the CCP is a serious threat to the entire world.

Best way to understand it, for me at least:

Beta male -> weak male
Alpha male -> strong male

When you see it for what it is, at a fundamental level, you would never consider alpha someone who is pretending to be strong in order to impress someone, but instead an alpha is someone who, because he is strong he follows his own path and doesn't go around it in order to appease other people's ego.

I dont understand this as a physical thing either...
In the gym for example you can be muscular and in amazing shape and still be a weak male looking for female validation. Or not. You can be strong and train like crazy and simply focus on the grind and enjoying it for what it is. That's strength.

A beta male flag is also when a male is emotional instead of logical. When he is controlled by thoughts and feelings instead of being controlled by doing what's right.

I agree more with @BigDinosaur - a truly strong, alpha male is someone who respects and supports both himself and others, chooses his own path, and always does his best to achieve his desired goals. Then there are two types of beta male - the overly-giving one lacking in self-respect that allows himself to be pushed around, and the self-centred bad boy bully that preys on those weaker than himself, preferably with a gang of lesser thugs around him, and loses his nerve when challenged by someone who can actually match him. Those are the only three real categories of men around.

And as @BigDinosaur also said, it's not about having outer strength, it's all about inner strength. Indeed I would advocate that men learn to develop their inner strength first, before building up their outer strength, because there are plenty of weak men out there who use muscle for evil.

Indeed I believe it's attitudes like this that brought about this mess in the first place - the more people believe trash like this, the less they will trust in their higher intelligence and conscience, and the more they will think that it's acceptable to just follow instinct like pathetic, primitive cavepeople, and play the victim and blame 'male/female/human nature' when things go wrong. If people want freedom, then they should be taught to use it responsibly and not abuse it in the way that many are currently doing.

I can't see physical media pushing back the clock and erasing/replacing streaming. Streaming offers too much convenience and bang for your buck.

The problem with streaming is the oversaturation of the market (too many companies vying for the same dollar) and insistence of these companies on producing woke content that just doesn't sell. If you put that woke content on DVD/Blu-ray, it would sell even less. Virtually nobody is going to lay down $50-80 for a season of She-Hulk on Blu-Ray.

As for DVDs specifically, they are outdated. Just like VHS before it.

Frankly, I'm surprised it even managed to get to 10%. Even accounting for the usual contingent of NPCs , I was hoping that it would end up lower. I'd guess it's because normal people don't really care about this property, so they're less likely to engage with it and vote.

Indifference is worse than hatred. Arguably Velma is getting a second season because hate watchers pushed the viewing stats up.

Along those lines, Season 2 of the nasty Proud Family reboot doesn't even have enough critic reviews to warrant a score yet. The critics cannot bad mouth a woke show because they know what side of the bread their butter is on, but they cannot afford to completely alienate normies (as if they had any credibility left) so stuck in a lose-lose situation where they cannot afford to be praising or harsh on a piece of media, nowadays they don't post a review at all.
