GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

So you're basically mixed on it as well. Not sounding too enthusiastic yourself

And the Slann?

;)

The Slann looks amazing. I still have to built and paint the current model though

Grrr, !mrahil

What do you think the new Slann will go for? (I do like that Palanquin)

Looks smaller than Kroak, so I'd expect it to cost less... then again, this is GW we're talking about.
$75-100. He doesn't look kroak $120 level.

The Saurus Cavalry could definitely use an update... probably more so than any other unit in the Lizzie roster.

Correct.

It almost looks like you could build two completely different Slann models from one kit?
So you make one sitting on the paladin and you use the other on a Stegadon.

(Well we are talking about GW so it will probably not be possible to make two complete ones, but it looks close to it

Interesting to see the saurus head crests have a revised design with scales and scutes.

The heaven exists and is with scales. they are all beautiful models, just the muzzle of the skinks I don't like very much...but it'll be a so colorfull unit, so funny to paint

I've just woke up from my slumber, cause as exciting as it was, I'm not the type to stay up for something, even if it is lizards.
Love the new Saurus, just as I like it, having details here and there but not overdone.
Enjoying the new Slann, mostly liking how the Skink is doing more and interacting with the Slann.
The Raptadons, part of me thinks of them as the ground support for a large Coatl. But that is just me imagining at this point. You see the feathers, the more serpent looking weapons the Skinks are holding.
Would be nice to have a Skink mounted on a Coatl.
But anyway it's a while away yet, really depends how much GW want to give us.
I will be sitting down later and try and figure out prices, at least we have time to save up.

I am very much inclined to start painting all Seraphon I have before these are released, but that might only be possible when I take a sabbatical for half a year

Hell yeah, a Slann model that's actually interesting to look at. Great update.

I wonder what they look like next to each other. The current Temple Guard kit is pretty good (much better than the old Saurus), but I wonder if they will be dwarfed by the new Saurus.
The guard are going to look somewhat awkward next to the new saurus, so honestly I'm surprised they didn't update both at once.

I'm curious what the role of the skink cavalry is supposed to be though. With them we got 5 or 6 cavalry and fast-ish monstrous infantry units, not even counting the associated heroes. Which is a lot of competition for one role.

I think unfortunately it will be like with the vampire counts, new skeletons but no new grave guards

They said what we just saw are not half of what are we going to see. We are definitively not going to see a refresh to our current monsters, but hey, it seems we're about to get some serious upgrades.

In short:

No, how could you POSSIBLY use some rules thrown together by someone that ISN'T James Workshop! It's safer to simply never use the flipping awesome minis in any version of the game where they're not ordained by the creators. The Tabletop Gaming Police don't let this sort of thing slide!

Grave guard have the advantage of carrying much more equipment though. They're still visibly heavier armed than the regular skeletons. Bigger shields, bigger weapons, bigger banner, bigger helmets, bigger armour (especially the chainmail skirt).

But the only difference between the new saurus and the temple guard is that the temple guard have a hat.

Even the polearms don't look that much more impressive now that the new saurus models are getting properly heavy spears instead of the fairly flimsy weapons they currently wield.
