AoS NEW *rumor*

Ima be real though. If it's just the astrolith Bearer. That's pathetic. Like cmon give me my new kroxigors damnit

This is the 'New GW' we're talking about here, one unnamed hero model is the order of the day for most factions, only their absolute favourites get anything better and let's face it, Lizardmen are not one of their favourites.

Which makes little sense. There are more lizardman players %wise than other factions. People love dinosaurs. But naa let's throw another fucking elf at the fans(not being dick to you just openly winging)

not quite. we are 3rd most popular at the moment. what we do have is staying power, we don't drop below 4th highest no mater what hapens unlike other armies that tend to swing up when they get somthing and drop down the the mid teens to low twenties when they don't get suport.

Holy fuck we dropped down to 3rd?!?!? I know it's been like 8 months since I last even glanced but daymn

it's unlikely that Mazdamundi would return given he was killed off in the End Times (though given such a shitty character as Alarielle was given a free pass to come back, it would be good to see a decent one finally return).
It could just be Mazdamundi 2.0, or even just a generic slann.
An alternative slann that can actually do something other than hide in the back would be fun, especially in coalesced.

As an another guess, while I don't think it will be Mazdamundi, it could be a re-imagined Slann model. This rumor could be part of the throne or the magic that the Slann is summoning. The spear rumor could be held by his Skink attendant.

I do not think we get another Slann model. The Kroak model already has the generic Slann as an alternative build, right?

Grrr, Imrahil

Might be scenery for an upcoming Warcry Box. They're releasing one every 3 months, right? As the "season" gets closer to the crashed Temple Ship perhaps the scenery also get more intact and less smashed up.

Personally I'm holding out for something entirely new :D

Not that I recall, I thought the new Kroak kit could only build Kroak... but given he looks more 'alive' than his original model and has more flesh on him, a decent greenstuffer or converter could probably turn him into a generic living Slann.

Nope, it's just Kroak. Which honestly is a missed oppertunity.

Also, look a lumineth that gets to trigger the same spell twice, cuz why not. Really makes me wish magic was overhauled so more factions could've actually interesting wizards..

To be fair, though, the spells they get to use that with are Arcane Bolt, which is pretty weak, Mystic Shield, which is OK but isn't huge, and their own spell 'Twinned Tether', which isn't particularly powerful given that this model will only have something like 5 or 6 wounds, so the enemy unit affected by it will only suffer a maximum of 5 or 6 wounds from the spell in the entire game, by which time the caster will be dead anyway because she still has to take the wounds she suffers as well as the target enemy. And to be honest that is a good thing, and hints that perhaps this new Lumineth book will be more balanced than the other two and will do something to reduce the army's reputation of being broken.

I believe The wizard can use this ability on all Hish spell, not only the new one. I would love that you are right but dont see any restriction
(a double speed of hish for example on a sevireth give a 96" of movement )

But how do the so-called Magic Lores work in AoS? I've never found that to be clearly defined. I thought each wizard could only choose one of the spells from the list (certainly if Army Builder is anything to go by), and does that replace any of the three spells they already have on their profile or is it added to those three?

All the wizard have acces to arcane tome and Mystic Shield + one spell from their domain
Some have in addition spell on the warscroll that they know like the basic one.
So here this wizard can choose speed of wish on Avelanor, if sucess double the movement and on +3 double again for a total of 24" for exemple.

this doesn't make the unit broken by any meens but it can be nasty

only if they get it off in the first place. with no inherent + to cast thats going to be hard.
O sure, it's by no means some super broken ability or something. Though some interactions with their lore might be a tad questionable when it does work, like the double movement bonus @Kakalou1 just mentioned. I'm just mildly annoyed that one of the few vaguely interesting magic related abilities goes to the lumineth, again.

Magic is just such a boring system in AoS for 99% of the factions. And I wish they did more with it.
