No positive things to say about Terminator 3 or Salvation? I'd rather take the Terminator 3 arc than woke Dark Fate for instance

I personally thought these movies were okay. At the time, I thought, if you are following "great" with "okay" that is a failure.

In 2022, my bar is much much lower. Following "great" with "okay" is now okay. It seems the norm is to follow "great" with "worthless garbage".

Put the franchises down. Give me something new. ANYTHING new. At this point I'm willing to settle for something equivalent to Jupiter Descending or Mortal Engines.

If I was in charge of a movie studio, I would drastically increase the number of low budget movies with new directors and new writers. It's a good bet most of it will suck but the law of averages says you make ten low budget movies with directors who have creative freedom, one or two of these movies will be a huge hit.

that would be a sensible move. Not counting that those big hits would generate sequels...
