GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Yea revs are only useful in 5s, but the sylvaneth pages have been abuzz with people beeing excited to pour themselves into multiples of the kit to form an army.

? I'd have thought Revenants would be least useful in 5s, as they look pretty squishy and not much better than Dryads on their profile. I'd have thought Sylvaneth players would have wanted to have as many as possible in a unit to survive shooting and melee.

But then, I'm not a Sylvaneth fan, and I'm not likely to ever become one, so what do I know?

pardon me. I was trying to agree with you that revs are NOT useful in 5s. and that sylvaneth players I've been talking to are planning to go for multiple vanguards to beef them up.

I apologize, I have probably not had enough coffee.

The new heroine leaked in GHB, Scinari Enlightener, who's doing Tai Chi while leading Sentinels, Dawnriders and Bladelords:

Fighting a new plastic Curseling who we might not see as Vilitch in TOW, charging the fray with Tzaangors on foot and on discs and Kairic Acolytes:

That tzeench dude is absolutely dope AF. Love seeing stuff that fits WFB aesthetics. Daemons have *never* appealed to me, but I honestly like all the Tzeench stuff from recent years. And what is it with GW never being able to make a female face look decent? Massive cheek bones,a bizarrely dopey mouth and huge eyebrows.

I prefer the Tzaangors GW released not that long ago and keeps pushing over the Pink Horrors that have been a staple of Warhammer Fantasy Tzeentch armies for years. The former fit the avian aesthetic of Tzeentch so much better, while the latter could really just be generic demon enemies from any old fantasy story, they look weird but there's nothing even vaguely Tzeentchian about them.

To be honest I think the female Mage here looks better than most of the other female models GW have released recently, but it may be that I'm simply revelling in the fact they've finally released a model with a long, flowing, feminine hairstyle rather than Sisters of Battle bob hairstyles or the lesbian chav cuts the female Stormcast have.

The horrors fit Tzeentch's aesthetic of pure, roiling chaos. The avian theme is another facet. I appreciate both, although I really need to get the tzaangors to see how they build and paint.

Admech ('cos technology) or Inquisition (because I can see an Inquisitorial 'I' on the bot) vs Chaos Daemons?

Still Imperium vs Chaos, mind, which is dull as ditchwater. I hope GW don't fully go back to such crap in 10th Edition after such a lovely Xenos-filled 9th Edition...

Has anyone seen the newly minted StarCraft dwarf terminators?

Because these are StarCraft Marines as dwarves.

40k has come full circle. That's it. We can close up shop and go home .

The model is cool... but it's hard to be original when you're doing just a variation of "dude in power armor". :p

which, incidentally, these bear the signs of the sculptor using the agressors as a template for posing and sculpting.

To be honest I prefer these to the Aggressors by a long way. At least these are being made for a brand new faction that has gone down this aesthetic route anyway, as opposed to being part of a pointless model range upgrade for a faction that didn't need it, simply because GW thought they 'weren't powerful enough'.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Leagues of Votann army grows and develops in the coming years, they look like a faction with serious potential.

My only bit of beef, not just with these but with most of the model range so far, is there aren't enough beards (though this can be amended by greenstuffing and/or sourcing additional Dwarf heads) and too many heads with Stormcast/Space Marine chav haircuts. Why does GW obsess over the chav cut so much?
