For now... but that gap is constantly shrinking. More importantly though, why would I pit the #1 Dwarf player against the #2 Chaos Dwarf player? That's not how things go; it's #1 vs. #1. Take likes for instance, the Chaos Dwarfs have Gold and Bronze, while the Dwarfs have Silver. You can't say that the Dwarfs come out on top in that scenario because Silver > Bronze.

I like to think that dwarfs undivided take the whole podium.
elfs undivided, on the other hand...

Well, since I played and collected Dwarfs for about 6 years earlier, I think I still qualify as ALSO a Dwarf player.
Meaning that you were once a Dwarf but now find yourself in devoted service to Hashut as a mighty Chaos Dwarf?

Quite fitting and poetic I would say.

What happened to your Dwarf army?

Ha! :D

What happened to your Dwarf army?

Mother sold it at a car boot sale while I was away... Still hurts to think about it. I mean, fair enough, by that point I'd kind of fallen out of the hobby but even having fallen out of the hobby it STILL hurt when I found out about it.

Outch! Do you know if it went for a good price or did the buyer have a bargain?

Grrr, Imrahil

It went for peanuts... Whoever got it, got it at about 95% discount.

It literally hurts every time I think about it, so I've pretty much compartmentalized this fully and don't think about it at all.

Much like the Dwarves, surrounded by Chaos, despair and death, I then embraced Hashut the Father of Darkness and he has set me free.

;)

These are an awesome conversion!!
Any idea where the mount is from?

Mantic's Berserker Brock Riders kit:

For the conversion, it looks like the converter cut off the Mantic Berserkers (who more resemble classic Norse Berserkers than Slayers) at the belt, did the same with GW Ironbreakers and stuck the top half of the latter onto the bottom half of the former. Hey Presto, Warhammer Badger Cavalry!

It is tempting to write fan-made rules for these for use in a Dwarf army, but Dwarfs are already a pretty good army so don't really need any additional units (though to be fair GW were stingy in their 8th Edition release and only gave them two new units, compared to some certain armies that got loads, so perhaps this is ample justification?). However, I can easily include them in my Cult of Grimnir book as that has been written as a separate army in its own right, especially as the same conversion technique can easily be done with Fyreslayer Vulkite Berzerkers in place of Ironbreakers (or perhaps even just a head swap would do it?).

OUCH. What did your Mom say when you told her how badly she undersold them?

As much as it sucks losing your army like that, it is a pretty fitting origin story for your path to Hashut.

Question. Did your mother knew how much you spent on them? or you gave her the discounted version? you know...

She's a total sweetheart. I didn't have the heart to tell her that this represented the majority of my pocket money from about 2 years of gradual buying.

[LoR bows] :D
