We could debate that chaos marines have just understood the horrible reality of the universe and embraced it, living for themselves. it's not evil vs good, but them vs people living a delusion.
Chaos gods share gifts. they cannot be totally bad.

so... what's really evil by choice and is not marked by chaos? ah, yes... Drukhari. :p

is not freedom the greatest good? we are those who have seen past the limits of mortal morals and have reached a higher understanding of the world.

It's just a prototype, the actual playable ones will be smaller. Sort of like how GW used to sculpt models at 3X scale back in the days of physical sculpting.

Or you could just play with it at that scale, using real people for the Chaos Marauders and other units ;)
