AoS Draconith- how will they do?

It might be a bit early to do this given the lack of warscrolls and points, but dragons are too cool to wait on. I think we can all agree they look phenomenal, given warhammers' old dragons it is quite nice to see a good change. However this isn't the main focus of this thread. With a small preview, some lofty promises and hype we have to ask how well they will hold.

what we have now looks rather uninspired, decent but not great

unless they have something wild up their sleeve, im a bit worried that draconith might end up like many monsters of aos, overpriced and just not worth it. However given what AOS has done with monsters there is some hope that they will atleast be semi competitive and start a trend of new big monsters actually holding their own.

so what do you good lizards think?
 
I'm not sure I would say bad, I'd just say of very limited use. But if it adds to his points as something really useful then it becomes bad.

Nonsense he is a hero killer then you slam him into Chaff with the extra attacks he gets for all his weapons at his disposal. I'd say it probably adds at a minimum of 3 total attacks between profiles he will get

oh how very frightening. so freighting that it's a nerfed version of a existing ability.

Heaven forbid they overtune a copied ability especially when we know damn well this dumbass dragon is gonna have a bunch of multidamaging attack so yeah an extra attack for a few weapon profiles is always welcomed.

but they won't get that bonus most of the time. they have to kill some of the most durable and well protected units in the game in order to do so . so if they inconter a army that can match them at all. (archy, soB techless orks) they won't benefit from it. and the other two bonuses are crap.
 
Too early to tell.

Karazai's ability is kind of dumb and unlikely to have a huge impact on games. The only interesting point I note is that the buffs aren't specifically activated by units killed in melee, meaning that if these lads get a decent shooting attack (i.e. fire breath) then maybe you could snipe their characters for more attacks.

Besides that, I'm just going to wait and see. We can safely predict they'll have a big bucket of wounds (20-25+ if I had to guess) and will likely be fairly quick and able to fly. Very keen to see their save characteristic as I've noted big, tanky models like Archaon can be turned into immovable objects quite easily through CAs, heroic abilities etc.
