Which is a God damn shame if we're being honestI would say the people in this forum are not the target audience of the articles.

That's the thing that confuses me about the community page. The only people that'd go there on a regular basis are people already deep in the hobby. However GW treat it like a great place to advertise and put out pointless stuff like this.Which is a God damn shame if we're being honest
If it was me, I'd just put up pictures of the coolest models from each faction and say, "Look at this dude! He SHOOTS BATS OUT OF HIS EYES!" and have done with it.
then there is a problem because we are the people who care about the articles. if they aren't targeted at us then who are they for? random people won't be looking at or following warhammer community and what few very casual people who do aren't reading every article. its the dedicated committed and ravanis fans who pick apart every detail we can because we care enough to do so. if GW isn't making the content for those who consume the content then what the heck are they doing?I would say the people in this forum are not the target audience of the articles.
I would of been like this "hey dude do you want to have a bunch of dudes with great axes who ride wingless dragons?" Then meet the fyreslayers (insert display with like 4 magmadroths)That would have been a great advertise , at least for the new vampires.
O sure, we'd get "enough" mileage out of it. But it'd just be increadibly lame to go from "Seraphon are so amazing at magic they can control the uncontrollable" to "everyone can do that now, so seraphon just have slightly more range or can hijack control".Well we might get good mileage out of slann being able to control our opponents endless spells if they are going to be more prevalent in games. It would also be cool if we got an extended range on being able to control endless spells.
Shouldn't we be though? I mean, for new players the whole article is nonsense cuz they have no clue what half of it means as they have no frame of reference. So an article describing how a unit changed from 2.0 to 3.0 just isn't usefull for them. Like @Christopher said, if you want it to be for new players you're better off just posting pictures of cool looking stuff selling whatever cool fluffy nonsense they do.I would say the people in this forum are not the target audience of the articles.

The biggest example of this is what they did with Astartes. Where they took it off of Youtube where it was extremely popular and being viewed by everyone in and out of the hobby. So they could put it on their site where it is only ever gonna be found by people already into the stuff. They seem to be under the delusion that someone who isn't already in the hobby is just gonna wander onto their site and find all this stuff. Meanwhile the people who are actually seeing it are people who know the game and the rules. So we just roll our eyes at best, and at worst we notice when their own articles get fundamental parts of the new rules wrong.
"Enhancements" can also just be an extra spell. So there's not necessarily going to be more artifacts. I think you won't see terribly much difference in that respect.Given the ease with which core battalions can be included I think Arcane Unforging was also buffed in that there will now likely be multiple enemy heroes running around with items giving us lots of targets.
it very much is there are a LOT of great units in cities that can help us out. primarily battle magi and frost heartsI saw a little discussion of it in the rumor thread, but CoS as allies feels like a pretty solid buff to that area of things compared to the old Sylvaneth allies, right? I don’t necessarily think it makes allies worth it enough to take very often, but when you do there’s a lot of utility options to fill gaps in the Seraphon roster
im going to use the one i have but put Tix Tak on himThe frostheart Phoenix would be a perfect model to convert into a coatl, too!
Similarly the new vampires switched to actually effective MSU's instead of hordes of skeletons in their newest tome, and Slaanesh mortals also already seemed to favour MSU's.

Wait till they put out blades of khorne and the only thing they say is. "You know what you're getting into here. Get your bloodthirsters and start hacking and slashing to victory."And here we have the fyreslayers one which doesn't explicitly mention a single new rule. Probably making this the absolute worst one. Even ours at least mentioned all-out-defense as a thing that exists now, even if it then didn't really do much with it.
Especially with that Phoenix CoS hasThe more I study the COS roster, the more I begin to think that any competitive Seraphon list could benefit from COS allies
Not that it's 100% necessary, but that it could benefit.
