AoS NEW *rumor*

Possible need for an faq, but can anyone see if it states rolls can't go below 1? It's stated specifically in aos2, but I can't seem to find it. Bad news for bastis

Until further notice, the only legal document that could be applied is the Seraphon FAQ which states a roll can't go below a 1.

It feels like an oversight (watertight).

I asked them on FB, since that was pointed out many times whenever the Basti argument erupted yesterday.

My bad. Scandalous spread of false info....

I've downloaded both in italian (to interact with my friends) and in english (to interact with the rest of the world).
Yay for reading time! :p
I've downloaded in russian and regret everything. :D
The translation is somewhat mediocre and they even translate names of characters (like Killa Boss is now Hit Boss).
I prefer to stay in english version, as the rest of my community.

I don't know if the rules for this would be in the core document that we got, but there's nothing about the grand alliances. Is that gone?

Hey guys, there's something nobody is addressing here.

Mortal Wounds are treated like normal wounds but you just skip the save roll. Does it mean Scaly Skin reduces the damage from MW?

The look a tzeentch is fun.

- They stack command abilities in an example with the fatemaster. Cuz why be consistent with earlier articles?
- One of their big "winners" is the fatemaster hovering disk. Despite his hovering disk being effectivly nerfed to only add one to save rolls. So that probably confirms they're not going to bother fixing warscrolls that have a "add a modifier of X to Y under this condition" (e.g skinks with shields) as a core rule. Making it impossible to buff those units further. So that sucks.
- And of course they mention that the removal of battalions is going to improve diversity for the twentieth time. After which they point out that horrors & flamers (or flaming chariots) are still going to be the core of tzeentch. Cuz you know, that's more diverse...

Not that i would see.

Grand alliances are rumored to be gone.

But with this in mind, I'm wondering how the Chameleon +3 cover save interacts with this buff cap. Clearly they should be FAQed to be excempt from this rule, or get some other bonus by being in cover.

Additional + to save simply reduces the effectiveness of rend. I'd also hold out on too many assumptions about specific warscrolls until we see GHB leaks.

This is true, bastis are now rendable.

Other rumors i've heard:
Core battalions are optional (you're not forced to build in core battalions)
Limit to 1 core battalion

In 40k multiple units had innate -2 to-hit ability, and for that units they clarified "yeah, it is inteded, it means you negate +1 to-hit modifier". Same here.

so guys turns out that you are no longer allowed to bring 3rd party stuff that is printed to GW tournaments. so lads who have awesome details and the likes have to prove that they designed em or will not be allowed to participate in gw tournaments. kinda pathetic and extremely counterproductive but i get it.

Don't think so, they've stated that if you have contradictory effects only the last one that's applied takes effect. So a +1 (or +2 in this case) and a -1 would default to whichever is applied last. Which honestly sounds kind of insane, but it is what they said...

Anyway, my point was more that it means all these in-build modifiers on warscrolls that were previously a significant advantage cuz they could stack with external buffs are now considerably weaker because the combo just simply no longer works. And some of these combo's might now be outright detrimental depending on what else was provided by them due to the efficiency plummeting.

Specificly printed stuff? That seems specific. What about sculpted stuff? Or just 3th parties models that aren't printed at home but cast like regular?

I will go out on a limb and say it looks like the hand of a Lizard/Dino?
Or is this wishful thinking?

This has been a rule for as long as GW has hosted tournaments. GW tournament so needs GW models and GW parts.

As far as i understand it, +1 and -1 is not what they are referring to when they say contradictory effects.

Yes, this is true.

yep there are some allowances for kitbashing with 75% of the model has to be GW. this is mostly so people can swap heads or weapons

It would seem there are no allowances anymore except generic bits like plasticard and brass rods, hand sculpted things, or 3d printed parts you personally designed.

There goes my headswapped Imperial Guard army...

It definitely could be. But it's probably another Kruleboy monster or something. I think there's some giant crocodile monster rumored.

It's not like the majority of people play at GWs. The majority of folk play at home or at LGS. Big tournaments aren't going to adhere to this unless it's a GW put on tournament.
