*Sweats profusely*We don't really even see a ton of large scale melee combat in the game right now.

I must of missed the post about totems what does that entail in 3rd?lol! If anything, barring massive point hikes the Dread Saurian is only going to get better in the new edition. With smaller blobs of enemies and all the buffs to monsters, plus the ability for Totem units to buff themselves, Dreads are honestly looking like they might be a pretty viable unit. We'll have to see how it all pans out.![]()

Or perhaps it can be used to make a voltron dread saurian. Wait that means I can hit on 2s with my jawsApparently Totem keyworded units can use command abilities in 3e, meaning that at the very least the Dread Saurian can use CP for the basic command abilities like the +1 to hit, +1 to save, etc. Meaning that he's going to rely less on having a Starseer or Slann around him to get buffed.
That's fair. I can attest to Skaven getting the better deal though, since a unit of 40 clanrats gets the horde discount vs a unit of 40 stabbas. This is balanced for armies like skaven or gitz that are more horde based because they often have 20 as the base size of the unit. So spending "1 reinforcement point" on a unit of clan rats (for example) nets you 40 clan rats, vs spending 1 point on skinks netting you only 20 skinks.
More leaks from 3rd edition

Maybe reinforcement units are units that you summon?I guess the reinforcement point rumor is true.
That...really sucks for us.
Sucks even more if you liked Saurus
We need to heavily rethink our strategies.Looks like I'll be making my own Age of Sigmar with all those changes.
I truly hate the concept of reinforcement. The Priest is not useful anymore unless you're buffing a Stegadon/Basti. Starpriest, almost the same, or Knights only.
Infantry won't hold an objective against a Behemoth or Elite unit, like Varanguard or Blood Knights, as they can't be an horde anymore.
I'm guessing they're going to release a massive FaQ like 9Ed because I don't see how are we going to play with any book right now.
maybe battleline or others (like 7 warriors or 2 kroxigors)I wonder why you'd include an understrength unit? Maybe to fill out points?
My french is rusty but it seems like you can take 0-1 understrength units of each "type." Not entirely sure what "type" refers to here, maybe keyword related?
well, this is interestingWhat do you think?
If this goes on like that, I think I'll stick to 2.0 rules or play some "recreate battle" type games. What do you think?
