AoS NEW *rumor*

Apparently, Lord Kroak imprisoned Kragnos (under the Direchasm mountain?) b/c he was getting too powerful. I assume the Starblood Stalkers were sent into the Direchasm to ensure Kragnos stayed trapped. Obviously, they did not succeed. The Seraphon don't seem to have a great W/L record in AoS lore.

Well, AoS Warhammer Fest was disappointing, Vampires get more unnecessary crap (the previous Dire Wolf sculpts were perfectly fine) and Kragnos is appearing on his own without a Centaur faction being led by him, meaning GW have yet again wasted the potential of a great idea.
Glad I wasn't the only one who was super underwhelmed! Kragnos looked awesome but he just looked odd leading that mismatch of destruction army... gutted no new lizards either...

yep we have a perfect 0 for our score

It sounded like something else that has been going on in the Broken Realms saga is what broke Kragnos out from under his mountain, I'm kind of hopeful it is whatever Tyrion was off dealing with, so it is the Aelves fault.

And I'm wondering if Kragnos is going to be trying to hunt down Kroak, as it is likely Kroak is the only one from the effort to lock him in that mountain who is still around.

I would prefere an avatar of Gorkamorka to be central model for destruction, instead of giant Centigor. I have a feeling that GW initially thought the miniature to be a part of beasts of chaos, but changed mind halfway through.

Yeah, that strange mix of vampires and FEC is not that great. But in truth i don't care, in AoS the only undead i like are Nighthaunts.

And i agree 110%. A lone Kragnos in disappointing. And i don't see a guy as Goddrak bow his head and take orders.

You can still be made-of-starlight seraphon in AoS

The retcon was weird. I think that even the Starborne are still real beings, just infused with the magic of Azyr. So the book might not really be de-canonized, but I can't really say for sure. I just like that they at least confirmed that the Slann weren't the only ones to survive and that there were always real, flesh and blood Lizardmen who survived the End Times. It gives me hope that they might bring back old characters at some point...

Here's me still praying for Kroq Gar to pop up! :P

According to the video, Kragnos will be nigh-unkillable. He's got 18 wounds, a 2+ save, and can roll 3d6 every time he's affected by a spell he rolls 3d6 vs the casting value of the spell, not the casting roll, and if he beats it he doesn't get affected. The people on the video also said he had a "horrendous" statline, which I'm pretty sure they meant horrendously powerful and not horrendously bad :p

But also Alarielle is getting a new warscroll in this book, let's hope that her upgrade helps the poor Sylvaneth out a bit.

Most of all, I'm just praying that we aren't portrayed as idiots again (we probably will be) and that Lord Kroak is as powerful and intelligent as he's supposed to be (he probably won't be)

*Edit* The man doing the "who is Kragnos?" video does say that Kroak plays a pivotal role in the story, and that he's "older than anything" and works in a "very different way" than other characters. He at least seems to acknowledge Kroak's importance, let's just hope that he actually does something good rather than f-ing everything up again :(

Stream of fire and 160 poisoned boltspitters go brrrrr.

Once again, in Belakor it is explicitly stated, that when kroak messed everything up, he knew, what he is doing, and current outcome is a minor inconvenience. Everything is according to great plan.

Kroak didnt mess everything up in Belakor. It went exactly the way he foresaw and wanted. All those ants died in service of the Great plan. All were acceptable sacrifices. We arent good guys. We arent bad guys. We are forces of nature playing an entirely different game than everyone else. Im sure this story will go the same way. It wont be what people want, because what people want is for us to be the heroes and to win the day. We arent heroes. We arent baddies. We are the shadowy people pulling the strings behind the scene. Good chances are we take another loss. It wont matter. In the end we will win because thats the inevitable ending the lore writers have written themselves into.
