Okay, people here me out on this. I just looked at the Gotrek Warscroll and it would be absolutely amazing if it weren't for that movement characteristic of 4". Now i had a Geistesblitz and remembered that our Realmshaper Engine is a massive model, that anybody can garrison! So you basically place it in the middle of the board slightly to one deployment side, rotated in such a way the points are furthest out, and then place Gotrek as close as you can do it.
Now if you have deployed at the edge and Gotrek is within 6" he can immediatly garrison inside it in the first turn, getting a +1 to save and -1 to being hit while he is inside, and i'm pretty sure nobody would like to charge him anyway. On the other side if the enemy is on the side of the Realmshaper and garrisons somebody inside, Gotrek only has to make the charge to it, instead of across the field to get into tasty tasty combat. And if the enemy stays clear of it after you deployed, you can hop out within 6" of it, but further than 3".
So in total you can get a free movement of up to 12" +the size of the Engine itself, what is your opinion about this strategy?
