I recently decided to build a 2k list for FoS. I don't have a balewind (which probably won't matter pretty soon) or salamanders so I decided to build with what I had.

I know the Troglodon is not that good but with the Arcane Vassel rule I figured it can work similarly to a balewind.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Trogs can work great with kroak, it makes his threat range absolutely massive.

I think the regular steg is throwing me a bit. I know you said you're just using what you have, so what other models do you have access too? I don't wanna suggest a bunch if stuff that's totally unrealistic for you

I have 2 bastiladons, 3 terradon riders, and 10 more guard.

Hm with double basti it might be worth squeezing them in and going thunder lizard.

Can drop the steg both endless spells the cp and 10 skinks for them.

Alternatively you could go dracos tail and run another 5 of guard and the terradons instead. Extra guard so you can bounce kroak around and keep him safe.

Any other endless spells?

I will be getting the new battalion box so I just might go thunder lizards. I also technically have access to the endless spells from the endless spell box.

Looking at my collection I have another 30 skinks, a skink priest, and a skink starpreiest so I can maybe run 2 blobs of skinks with the support heroes.

Would you rather play coalesced or starborne? Any must keep models?

Imo you have a decent path for both. Double basti in thunder lizard or more skinks in starborne

Either is fine but I wanted to nail down a skink list as I feel a thunder lizard list should be easy to make.

I will probably just go with the 2 skink blobs and fill in with what I have. Hopefully I can kitbash some salamanders so I can have their sweet, sweet damage output.
