AoS List Advice. Hobbyist trying to get into the game.

I am an avid painter who has painted several Seraphon models and is now looking to get into playing the game. I am unsure what list to create with the current models I have. Would anyone be able to recommend a viable list for me to play with the models I have?

Slann Starmaster
Skink Chief
Skink Star Chief
Scar Veteran on Carnosaur

Engine of the Gods
2X Bastiladon
Troglodon with Skink Oracle

12 Skinks
12 Saurus Warriors
8 Saurus Riders
10 Chameleon Skinks
8 Terradon Riders

The next project is a box of skinks. Looking to get started with a 1000 point game. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

looking at what you have your best bet would be to go for a bastiladon based thunder quake list
somthing like
slann
skink priest
2 x bastiladon
3 x 10 skinks
1 bonus CP
that would be exactly 1000 points and would be easy to expand with more skinks or some of our auxiliary units

I think that all depends on what you're doing with them. If they're ambushing into terrain to shoot at characters, probably a good bet they can be useful. Their cost can be a bit prohibitive compared to just having 30 more regular skinks for the same amount of points.

They do make a good threat for a backline to make your opponent think about them.
