AoS Help against STD.

Hey there!

I'm going to have a game this weekend against STD and I have no damm clue how to beat them: they have high saves, can ignore spells, great in melee...

I was thinking into a KC list but now I'm thinking in a FoS list double Slann. Anyone has an idea?

Not exactly but my opponent said something of bringing a Sorcerer on Manticore, Knights to get points, Varanguard and a Nurgle hero to do something about spells (strange I know, Khorne is the anti-spell).
 
Kill his wizards. His Knights are probably the scariest thing in his list outside of a Marauder bomb. If you can kill Marauders in shooting then do that. If they have stacking negatives to hit (nurgle 1 or 2 drop build) then play the field and worry less about killing. Unbind Mask of Darkness. And try to stay out of range of his offensive spells. S2D has pretty short ranges like 12" or so. Make sure you know his spells and their ranges to play around them in the event you fail to unbind.
 
I suggest a condom, go easy on the booze, and perhaps ask if they have a better looking friend.

As I said, I was thinking in a Koatl's Claw army, but in the end I'm having a FoS. I hate myself so much right now, it's the ol' reliable and I hate FoS for that same reason. Kroaq+Slann, onlly Kroaq/Slann or how'd you go. I was thinking in Kroaq+Balewind+Slann+Astrolith+Guard, then 2x40Skinks+2 Starpriest+1Priest+3Sallys for 1980 points
 
that is a solid FoS build. It should have the damage to pick off heroes and BKs consistently.

Yeah, almost the only list FoS has. I've been thinking how to use the KC list but there's no way to snipe his heroes. They have too much armor and a Comet is easy to cast with a 10 with a +4 to cast.

If you're curious, this was the list I was expecting to use with KC but I'm not very into it:

Shackles so he doesn't get a point, casting it 6" from the middle
 
Welp, I won the game. We played on this battleplan were Battleline has to deploy 9" from enemy's territory but Behemoths at 24".

I got one point with one of my blobs. Killed 4/6 Varanguards on 2 turns (I was lucky for a double turn) and 7 Knights between Celestial Deliverance and 25 Skinks. His Shrine died with my Sallys.

FoS typical list is an abuse, no matter how you see it. Good at magic and shooting. Get in melee? 4+ and safe.
