What are you doing today hobbywise?

Been painting and sanding some craters for my 40K scenery collection recently, as I had them sprayed black ages ago and after seeing them stand out as unfinished during my recent 40K game I felt it was about time they were finished - no excuses!

D&D dryad, painted to give me a break from other projects, but I will probably also use her as an elf spellcaster for Oathmark.

A week or two ago I told my twin brother that I re-watched all LotR films and casually mentioned my Middle Earth SBG models and the possibility of playing small games... so soon we will start a campaign in Middle Earth ;)

Grrr, Imrahil

'Soon' has finally arrived, yesterday my twin brother was over and we played 2 scenarios in the Battle Company installment from Middle Earth SBG, along the way learning him the game. He liked it, also because of the thematic from the movies and of course my 'beautiful' painted models :angelic:

We will continue our battles soon-ish :)

The game did get me more excited as well, so continued with my scatter terrain and made something new.

Took a glance-over of the recently released Van Saar kit with the Archeoteks and Neoteks to see what was all involved with the build. While I'm not overly thrilled by the relative lack of poseability for the arms on the archeoteks (the right arm comes already attached to the torso), or the brittle new flight stands that the Neoteks' hoverboards come with, there's enough to work with for the purposes of magnetization.

I put some work in on Genestealer Cultists today. I picked up an extra set of acolyte and neophyte hybrids a while back and started painting them. My sanctus is waiting in the wings. (I think I'm going to switch up and play my Cult for my Crusade force.)

This year's Secret Santa gift exchange in my local gaming group turned out to have my Secret Santa and I having each other. I gave him a Fomoroid Crusher, an Ogroid Myrmidon, and a Minion Miniatures Bugbear Ironshield, and in return I'm getting a Lost Kingdom Miniatures Ezocamtl General on Dilophosaurus. He's confident that the model would make for a better fit for the carnosaur warscroll than the one provided by GW.
3 months after being ordered for the Secret Santa exchange, my present has arrived!

And so the last 20 of 90 saurus warriors with spears were built during a duty watch. Still kind of a waste that I equipped them as such, but a good phalanx presentation in the display case nonetheless.

Once those were done, I got started building some skeletons for generic tabletop use.
