If that's all it is, I'd be happy. I got a feeling they are going to nerf his mortal wound output. Probably change the spell so you need a 4+ to mortal wound or raise the casting costs on deliverance to make it harder to go off multiple times.
 
Sometimes I think GW does this just to get the Lizards worked up. SO many fans want new, or updated, models. But, who else would have a lizard in there model?

I agree with @LordBaconBane that it's probably a rock or structure, but it doesn't look quite right. Just to keep the hopes up, do you think it could be a lizard crawling down the back of a Slann? I don't know, maybe it doesn't look bumpy enough, or flesh-like...
 
I think it's on a stone. I originally thought maybe that was like a sail or some kind of cloth, but the more I look at it the more I think it's a rock. It could be 40k Catachan? But hopefully lizards!

Somehow I too feel like it is a lizard on a cloak... but that wouldn't make much sense.
It looks to smooth to be a rock though.

Thats hard to do though. You cant reasonably buff kroak because of his power multipliers like the astrolith because if you had kroak alone with a 10” range on deiverance, starting cast on 8 with only his inherent +1 he would he rubbish

I was thinking about this, but I think it's a rock. GW cloaks tend to flow smooth, in the image I edited you can see (from the arrows) awkwardly shaped crease lines and dents. The circle shows the crease going flat for a moment.

My money is on a rock and I really should get back to work lol.

I can't really think of another army that would have live lizards crawling around. Maybe we will be getting some love with a Broken Realms book and it's related to that somehow?

we also couldent thing of another army that had crocodile like scales and then bam Slaves to darkness got a new mounted hero
