Blog Imrahil's Paint and WIP log

This looks so good!! Well done man

Thank you very much.

Last development in the Lustrian Jungle: I am done assembling the SCB Skinks :p
Two out of the three Terradon riders can be converted in to Ripperdactyl riders. For de last one I skipped these conversion additions for now. I wanted the Box's Battalion to be ready to Prime(there may not be much opportunities to prime them, due to fall making an entrance).

I cheated a little because the Starpriest I already had assembled and primed way before the SCB Skinks came out ;)

I had some time today to put extreme highlighting on my 5 Orruk Ardboys.

Just 3 steps remaining:

- putting scratch marks all over the armor
- painting the random Yellow battle paint on
- basing them properly.

(For the quick counters among you: Yes there are 6 Orruks in the picture, but one is the test model I painted up front ;))

I the meantime I am a bit distracted by the Middle Earth SBG. Ordered myself the 3 books. Armies of LotR, Rules manual and the Battle companies book.

Also I did some work on the models of the first army I ever painted and played, Minas Thirith.

This was the State they were in:

And after some work, mainly on the bases. These models are now done:

More work to get to, but I am also planning on painting up some Rivendell Elfs to start a Battle Companies map-based campaign. And along the way I'll have to add more models to the company which I then will finish up ;)

These are great!

Decided to kitbash a 'knocked prone' marker for my Minas Tirith army:

To use when a Warrior is charged by an enemy Knight or when a horse of my own Knight is killed in battle and the rider survives.
