Definitely would. Would have just been with another. He has the capacity for love, leads to blah, blah, blah, etc. Etc.

Given that Force powers are hereditary it always seemed bat skyte crazy to me that Jedi were encouraged to be celibate.

The only reason they would do this is if a large portion of their members lost to the Dark Side were dragged there by well meaning romantic paramours.
