8th Ed. Poll: What is your favorite BRB magic lore for a Slann in an all comers list?

Also, i just looovvveeee swapping out spells in games, it is my favorite mechanic of whole warhammer 8th, so when i get the chance to play 8th (if it is twice a year i am already happy), i just play High Slann.

I think I need to explore this more thoroughly. It's obviously our Lore Attribute and I don't think I use it well enough. It irks me to have to use a spell mainly to get hold of another (as I'm not going to switch one that I'm using).

I notice no Undeath even though it isn't End Times anymore.

I am super fond of using the Lore of Undeath...

No love for the lore of fire, no one has chosen it yet! I never did like that lore.

I used it once or twice against my friend's Orcs and Goblins. It was effective, though my friend in question did not play hyper competitive lists, he played fun lists. It was fun to defeat a unit of Trolls with a solo Slann and the Cascading Fire Cloak.


I have used all the BRB lores for Slann except for Beasts and Heavens. If I want Beasts or Heavens I will play the Prophet of Sotek or Tet (and I enjoy both these special characters).

I stand by my thread stating that any lore can work for a Slann with the right army list.

That said, if I cannot play the Lore of Undeath and I know I'm dealing with an all-comers list than I probably want Shadow or Light (rare these days because the few times these days I schedule a game, both players know exactly what we are facing).

I really really like the Lore of Undeath though. It's so versatile and it lets me take my tiny Vampire Counts army out for a spin.
