AoS Starting seraphon army help

Hey,

I just started getting into the hobby and was looking to start with an 1000 point army. Is this list any viable?

-2 carnosaurs (oldblood or carnosaur)
- 10 knights
- 20 warriors
- bastilidon
- 3 terrordactyls

Total 970/1000

I would like to play 2 carno’s but i don’t think if it’ll be viable

Note: i’m just going casual at my local game store, no tournament hollabaloo

You're list looks casual play viable to me. Use your warriors and Bastiladon to soak enemy charges so that you can be the one to initiate with your carnosaurs.

Generally at 1000 points, you will be limited to just 2 behemoth/monsters.

Carnosaurs LOVE to be in the Koatyls claw sub faction, which will focus on Saurus.

You could run 2 Carnos and a Skink starpriest for a pretty cheap and fun Seraphon list (2 Start Collecting Boxes). A skink starpriest will really make those Knights pump out some mortal wounds (and you can kitbash your own using the Skink Oracle from the Carno/Toglodon sprue)

I didn’t realize you could only have 2 behemoths. I already bought one start collecting and have already findled with a conversion so i’m good in the starpriest department

One question though, with the command point, is it that you start with one or get an additional one each turn?

If you run a battalion or buy(50 points) one in your list you start with a Command Point. And every turn you will gain one at the start of your hero phase.

Just wondering I will be able to build the above list if I get two of the Start Collecting Seraphon Box? Or I will need to get additional items on top of the 2 start collecting boxes?

You can actually make a 1000 pt army with just the start collecting and some creative kitbashing from this guide,

Everything up to the trog is super easy to make(I just did it yesterday), and i wouldn't use the trog anyways because I dont like the way it looks.
Doing everything in that guide will give you the following army(see attached), which is a legal 1000 pt army. Buying a second start collecting box will get you a scarvet on carno,15 knights and 20 warriors. This lets you run a fire lance battalion. You could also kit bash/buy a lord kroak and add 4 additional command points to get you up to a legal 2000pt army(see attached). So for $150 you can get yourself a decent army(not counting lord kroak)

Sorry for my noob question but I thought each start collecting box only gives us 5 knights? How do we get 15 knights with just 2 boxes?

The kit has 8 Knights and 12 Warriors. You can use one knights to build an SCV on CO and the others to build knights.

1000pts army requirements and restrictions are: 1-4 Leaders, Min 2 Battleline, 0-2 Behemoths, 0-2 Artillery, & 0-2 Endless Spells.
