What are you doing today hobbywise?

I recognize some great works of your hand ;)
Is this in your local GW-store or an other venue?

Good luck and have fun

Grrr, Imrahil

It's our local store, the panels and some of the scenery it's their. They let us organize these events, which is cool.

And yeah, hopefully it should be fun, it is a narrative mini-apocalypse, 10.000 pts divided between 4 armies with personalized objectives.

I agree, but you could have taught him to paint something other than Imperium and Chaos models, just saying. We don’t want them all to become Space Marine and Chaos Space Marine players because then there will be no variety in their games or collections ;)
Thanks. I'm starting him with what he's expressed interest in, as well as what I have on hand. He wants to come back and keep working in them, so it's been successful. He also wants to play, so I hope to get a game in once 9th drops in two weeks.

Post it!

(based on Scalenex's rules you can't use a story you've already started writing anyways so...)

I misread that one then... thought it was only about entering a story already posted somewhere before.

So it will be posted when done

Grrr, Imrahil

Or I'll not finish it now and wait untill the apropriate theme will be chosen and then finish it...

I hope my OCD can handle that :angelic::p

Grrr, Imrahil

Took some time out of my schedule to play around with the new Anvil of Apotheosis, particularly to see what it would take to create the rough equivalent of pre-existing hero warscrolls. Suffice to say the discrepancies in how they're valued for matched play are something to behold.

It didn't stop just there.

I got some more airbrushing done. Mostly focused on my Lizardmen team for Blood Bowl (doing similar colours to my Seraphon in AoS), but I also went over quite a few of my skaven heroes and three stormfiends with Kislev Flesh and Reikland Flesh.

I also took the liberty of starting to paint the shields of my saurus warrior cohorts to better define them. My first batch of 30, which I've already decided will have red shields, are about 2/3 done as of this post, having been done using drybrushed Wraithbone followed by Blood Angels Red.

Sadly, this will be the last bit of major work I'll have done hobby-wise for the next couple of weeks due to Navy things. I'll be seeing what I can get done regarding my Corvus Cabal warband, as I will be bringing them with me, but there's no guarantee that I will get any work done on them.

Today I put my Ironbreakers together and started on the Gyrobomber/Copter.
Problem with the Gyro-thingy is it partially needs to be painted before assembling.

So I will be deciding on paintingscheme sooner then I thought

Grrr, Imrahil

Sadly, the military tends to get in the way of hobbies on a regular basis. I spent most a year on an Army course that kept me out of pretty much any gaming. Good luck.

I know the feeling. LOL

Still, you learn to make time. At least half of all the Corvus Cabal miniatures I brought with me on this little sail were built while in a foreign port (San Diego) during a duty watch.

I understand. For me it depends on what I'm doing. If I'm in the field, I don't get much done. But if I'm at a conference or a school, I often get more done. My evenings tend to be more free than when I'm at home.

Last night, I grabbed a bit of time to do repairs on a couple old models, and built the last three primarus characters from the 8th ed. box set.

Sorting through my ebay purchases. Old metal goblin wolf chariot with boars instead of wolves? Check. Old 3rd edition skaven mini? Check. Old metal goblin wolf riders, sans wolves? Check. Mid-range metal savage orc musician? Check. 3 blister packs of metal packmasters and giant rats? Check...

I might have a bit of a problem. Maybe I need to stop browsing ebay...

Please tell me if you work out a solution. I am similarly afflicted.

Got started on a terrain project today. No particular reason, just wanted to see if I could make it work. I have two building corners for a 40k ruined building and a half completed shell crater. We'll see how far it goes. It'll be nice to have some new terrain.
