AoS NEW *rumor*

And I am the second DT player. Trying LizardWizard's Salamanders spam for the last time (both because I got to know everything that I wanted about it and because, I assume, they will be nerfed hard).

What are you afraid they'l change that would've been a positive?
it was a generic comment, indicative that I expect they would listen to detractors that play against a faction instead of those that play within it.

Ah, that makes more sense :p

Lustria is taking over!

So no points in the book for us but they specifically mentioned that armies released after Cities of Sigmar will be digital print. I guess this will come in the errata 2 weeks from next saturday?

Those two new battleplans seem ok.

oh dang that could do a lot to help us out

I can think of two big things I’ll be wanting to try out, top most is a tailored skink vassal!

The other is a better god venom dagger holder, but I’m almost certain these heroes will be ‘unique’ and unable to take artefacts...

Depending on how this works it could be utterly brilliant. It could be used to plug some glaring holes. Just imagine, a minor skink hero with better defenses than 5 wounds and 5+ save so he doesn't get killed by a stiff breeze. A slann on a stegadon so he can do more than cower in a corner. Taking a minor saurus hero cuz it's actually a good hero, not just because you can't afford a carnosaur but need the command ability.

It can be quite awesome :p

Also, great way to encourage & reward kitbashing.

No Slann option, unfortunately! Skink wizard on a Stegadon though...

unfortunately slann aren't one of the options but im sicked yo build skink and suarus heroes 200 and 400 are expensive but if what you get out of it is worth it i could see them becoming staples of our lists

.... sigh.... why... why does GW hate fun...

Also, doesn't that make us literaly the only exception? That's just kinda weird.

Maybe the framework will be good enough that I can make up my own slann options and keep it reasonably balanced compared to the others..

no a buch of guys didn't make it like trogs. oooo we can bring back tic tac with this!

A key thing will be how these heroes interact with key words in armies. I’d say it’s clear skink and Saurus will have the Seraphon keyword.

Aelfs though, for example? Idoneth desperately need better hero options, but without the Deepkin keyword, they’re unusable.

I doubt this would be legal for tournamets.

I'd assume you'd get to pick those when building your hero. Idoneth and Lumineth share an ancestory which is all this list.

well they are providing a framework for pointvalues, and they are encouraging it's use by saying it's possible to use in matched play . Unlike some of the other narrative stuff they've released where they explicitly say "this is just for narative, don't expect it to be balanced". So the framework is there.

Main question imho will be if tournament organisers & players are going to be spoilsports and quickly reject it or actually give it a shot. I wouldn't be surprised if a good chunk of the community decides it's somehow not fair even with that framework in place. Much like how certain competitive videogame-communities have strict and somewhat arbitrary limitations on what can and cannot be done in a tournament.
