What are your thoughts?
I'm using the Swords since i had 30 points left over and may as well use them.
I would be using my EotG to summon my Ripperdactyls on the first turn if possible to take out a key unit, after that i would be summoning my Skinks to take objectives.
My Bastiladons and Razordon would be starting on the board, My Bastiladons would be at the front absorbing wounds and getting healed.
Spell Wise im unsure, if you have other suggestions let me know.
Caveat: I don't have any army yet and haven't played with Seraphon since their first battletome, so take this advice with a lump of salt******
However I have been deeply researching, pouring over the tome, reading the warscrolls and paying attention to this place for about a month now.
As I understand it: Ripperdactyl are underwhelming as are Razordons. Due to this it often takes a specialized focus to get the most out of them.
Therefore you'd want a Ripperdactyl chief at the minimum, and possibly a Skink Chieft on Stegadon and run it in Coalesced to really bring out all the attacks you can squeeze from them plus the Starpriest with the poison buff to make a deadly unit.
Alternatively I've heard Razordons are best used in a defensive counter-punch style army with a block of Saurus screening them, absorbing the charge then shooting, shooting at the end of the charge phase, then piling in and fighting to maximum their damage, and running spells like Geminids and Emerald Lifeswarm to keep the stalwart defenders in the game.
This list looks a bit spread out without much of a focus. More often than not Skink Priests are desired for Skink units to add that +1 to hit, run and shoot and charge and +1 to save (any SKINK unit, Terradon, Ripperdactyl, Razordons, Salamanders, Skinks, Chameleon Skink, etc..)
Also the Engine of the Gods apparently sucks butt at summoning and it's a mega low chance. Consider somehow adding a Ripperdactyl Chief and subbing the EOTG for a Skink Chieft on Stegadon.
Consider the following:
Allegiance: Seraphon
- Constellation: Thunder Lizard
Mortal Realm: Hysh
Leaders
Slann Starmaster (260)
- Spell: Celestial Apotheosis
Stegadon with Skink Chief (270)
- General
- Command Trait: Prime Warbeast
- Artefact: Sacred Stegadon Helm
Skink Starpriest (120)
- Artefact: Fusil of Conflaguration
- Spell: Celestial Harmony
Saurus Astrolith Bearer (140)
Ripperdactyl Chief (80)
Battleline
10 x Skinks (60)
- Meteoric Javelins Celestite Daggers & Star Bucklers
10 x Skinks (60)
- Meteoric Javelins Celestite Daggers & Star Bucklers
10 x Skinks (60)
- Meteoric Javelins Celestite Daggers & Star Bucklers
Units
4 x Salamander Hunting Pack (80)
9 x Ripperdactyl Riders (240)
Behemoths
Bastiladon (220)
- Weapon: Solar Engine
Bastiladon (220)
- Weapon: Solar Engine
Battalions
Thunderquake Temple-host (150)
Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs
Balewind Vortex (40)
Total: 2000 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 1
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 115
Edit: I have chosen to maximize the Skink Chief on Stegadon's damage to have 2 main threats: rippers and the skink, however it is entirely possible to make the Ripperdactyl Chieftan the General and use Master of Star Rituals to grant him access to the Priests Command Ability without spending a command point as an alternate take.
