AoS I'm need help with spells

I haven't found in rules where it says anything about the spells seraphon have in a battletome. How do I pick those spells? I pick one for each mage before the game?

Yes. Every wizard can pick one spell from their respective list (Skinks and Slann have different lists).

Side question, does everyone else's Tide of Serpents say that it deals a MW for each 5+? I could have sworn in the early leaks the book said for each 6+, but mine definitely says 5+.

Thank you for a reply! Man do you think if its possible to scan the pages with only rules from a new battletome? My pre-order for where I live is arriving in 2 long months. But I really wanna play now. Or if someone posted it somwhere can you redirect me?

I just checked my German one and it says 5+.

It seems I deleted the Spanish leaked pages so I am not sure what those said (not even sure if I had that page).

I have the printed German one and a few pages of the Spanish one that were leaked.

On the warscroll you can download from the GW page it says hits on a 6 does a mortal wound.

Wait, now it's me who is confused.
I thought we were talking about the spell from the Lore of Celestial Manipulation.
It is (confusingly) named very similar to that Bastiladon ability, the only difference being "Snakes" vs. "Serpents".

Edit: and probably that was also the source of @LizardWizard's confusion now that I think about it.

It says 5+ in the book for the skink spell. Only 12" range though.
