Hi, I want to get into in AoS, I'm looking into starting a small beginner seraphon army, what models and boxes should I get?

yeah, @Imrahil is right, with a coalesced army you are going to need those sauri!

Hard to tell. I would tend toward Scar-Vet, but it really depends on a number of things (artefacts, troops composition, the other heroes).
Unless your gaming group is fixed on WYSIWYG i don't think it would be a problem,; just decide each time.

for beginners, i think coalesced is better.

Your first pick should be a slann starmaster

The upcoming skink start collecting box looks like it will be a good box but it is variable by play style. I would look through the book and see what you like.

Let us know if you any specific questions about gameplay, fluff, painting or anything else.

With very recent rules changes we are sort of in a transition adapting to new stuff, but we adapt pretty fast around these here parts. Unless we don't want to adapt.

We support old school players who like playing older editions too. Warhammer 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th, Age of Sigmar, Kings of War, Blood Bowl, Mordheim, 9th Age. You'll find at least a few players here. Maybe not 5th and 7th edition but we have a few 6th edition players and a lot of 8th players
