I mean you can agree, but you are wrong. You are saying a roll and a characteristic is the same thing, that wouldn't hold up in court lol you roll your dice, apply modifiers and compare the result to your save. If your result is equal or higher to your save characteristic you pass. Do in this case a 1 after modifiers passes, so the roll of a 1 currently passes. Then you check if any of those rolls were a natural 1 before modifiers, those fail regardless of modifiers. It's the save of you had a+3 to your save and a 2+ save, a roll of a 1 before modifiers airways fails. There is nothing the warscroll is overwriting
