imho the changes seem good, most of the "issues" seem to be that it wildly changes existing lists, not necesarly that anything is truly weak.

Also, the move towards reliable is nice.

I have a spanish girlfriend, works well as well. Only downside is that she slowly gets annoyed at having to translate all of it :p

People are being overdramatic mostly :p

No it's a 6+ wardsave bubble for wounds and mortal wounds. Which imho, is quite good.

Also what I find confusing is that the troglodon, Slann & Kroak all seem to have comets call. How is this going to work? Are they going to be exempt from the rule of one? The hell is a slann supposed to cast if you're also bringing a troglodon? Having the same spell on multiple warscrolls is weird.

Ah okay. Man I just have not been on top of it today. I'm going to stop pretending I know whats going on until I can digest this stuff away from the office.

Well, it means BwV and Cogs aren't mandatory anymore.... So that free up more points to place natively in the list or to take bound endless spells.
it also rewards bringing multiple wizards, and it makes it so that you're no longer going to have 1 slann sitting in a corner which is imho nice.

The reduction in total points generated is a bit iffy. Especially all the D3's are dissapointing. It's possible to need 2-3 turns to summon mere skinks if you roll badly. And you can't exactly bring 3-4 slann either due to their pointcosts. Though at least now bringing a slann and a starseer together is a viable thing to do. Kind of curious what a "summoning"-list is supposed to look like now if you want to get it to be anywhere near reliable.

Razordon unit is better at soaking damage and better at staying in the game.

It is not, when compared to the old razors.

Now: 240 pts, 3 razordons with 9 ablative wounds.
You work with 3 razordon up til you take 12 wounds

Before: 240 pts, 6 razordon with no ablative wounds, but until they take 9 wounds, their damage output is far better than 3 razordon with ablative wounds.

The warscroll for the razordon is better, more cc damage and a more reliable difensive shooting but the points price is huge

Overall, we are less flexible and planning 3 turns ahead is less rewarding and not mandatory. We have lost some major board contro.

However, we have gained MWs, Rend, magic, and better staying power.

I would say we are less unique and skill based. We seeming overall more competitive in the meta though.

I'm sorry but it is not that. It is 6+ ward save against MW for friendly units.

Any wounds, if I've got it right.

Starpriest got buffed - now his ability allows chosen unit to deal MW on wound roll of 6 in melee, if I've got it right. Not saurus, not only bites - any unit on any melee attacks. But spell got a little nerf - it is 18 now and only affects enemies. Once again, less flexible.

Correct. Any wounds. My bad

Hitting on 4 and needing 6's to wound is not a great buff. Seems like everything needs a ton of support to be even close to what other armies get baseline.

I really just wanted saurus of all types to be worth it. I face bonereapers, ogres, orruks, constantly and the carnosaur cant stand up to their battleline units i feel like, those armies have great stats before their battalions etc kick in. Maybe im having an off day today and bitching to bitch i admit, but I just wanted decent to great close combat phases at least enough to tow the line against those books. Saurus are supposed to be heavy infantry and a carnosaur should be just as scary and effective as it looks. Ill end my rant here lol.

Yeah I would take my 10 mortek guard over any unit in the army right now.

most of us did. its why every new seraphon player went "im gonna play skinks im so random" and when you told them it was meta they lost a light in their eye.

this book is looking incredibly disappointing and i was going to buy the CE too.
