Why finish what I started, when I can start something new?! lol :D

Since a K'daai Destroyer model was never released by GW or Forge World, a conversion/proxy must be found. According to the lore: "K'daai Destroyers are massive constructs fashioned into the form of mighty warriors or iron-beasts, such as gargantuan monstrous bulls and other nightmarish creatures, awakened by mass blood sacrifice and set lose upon the enemy". As such, this provides me with a unique opportunity to pick up a monster sculpt that I've always loved from an army that I do not own. My choice... a Stonehorn from the Ogre Kingdoms (Ogor Mawtribes for you AoS players). I've always loved the model, but since I don't own an Ogre Kingdoms army, I never picked one up. I must say that I'm very impressed with the model. A great sculpt with amazing spare bits.

Being a mighty metal construct with a fire daemon bound to it, I obviously won't be using the Ogre riders (although I'm sure they will be useful for something else down the road). That leaves me with a small section on top of the model where the saddle would normally be seated. I have decided to place a rune there with the idea that the Chaos Dwarfs enslaved the daemon to their constructed armored framework with "rune-stamped bronze".

For my rune I decided to do my take on a Chaos Dwarf glyph found in the Tamurkhan book. I thought this would be fitting...

So I redrew the glyph, making it more suitable for cutting on my scroll saw. I made it significantly thicker and more stout. I cut it out of 1/8" acrylic. And filled in the gap with green stuff and adhered the glyph to it. (don't mind the black markings, they were not drawn on very well so I decided to eyeball it instead)

I plan to paint the head, body and base all separately and assemble them afterwards. I'm currently working on the base. I guess that is all for now, cheers,

What a great conversion idea! I look forward to seeing it when it’s complete! :)

What is a grudgin?

I think he means that it’s worthy of a grudge, but as far as I know he isn’t a Dwarf player so doesn’t really have any right to declare a grudge, but I’m not fluent in American Khazalid, only British Khazalid ;)
