fortunately I have got all the miniatures I wanted from their kickstarter (enough to have spares to sell), but this is a bit of a shame

Hmmm, what is the cheapest printer you could buy to get an acceptable quality of miniature?

Being able to print your own models for a monthly subscription sounds very appealing but pointless if you are paying through the nose to a 3rd party or for your own equipment

Yeah, everyone mentions how cheap it is and how you can print things for cents (depending on the size/scale), but no one really mentions the high cost of entry of purchasing the printer itself. They've definitely gone down in price over the last few years and have become "affordable" by some standards. Of course, that's if you find $250-300 for a decent printer affordable lol (they may have gone down even more than that by now).

It is unfortunate that most 3rd party 3D printing services charge a ridiculous amount to print for, again, things that cost just a few cents to print. It does take a pretty long time to print things though, and if you're trying to print multiple items to meet a quota, then yeah, I can see how the opportunity cost raises the price (I think that's the appropriate econ term here lol). But I'm pretty certain the people who run these services have several printers (at least 3) which should ease that up a bit. I'm definitely expecting print prices to go down though once good/decent printers are available for <$200.

Still, it's pretty neat that we have the option to "print" our own, good-quality models if we're willing to make that investment!

PS: 3D printers can print so many things their use/benefits extend way past that of just printing minis

I think for a long time, they will not replace Stock. So you will not be able to buy anything physical, for the moment. I find myself in the same situation.

Tras estar preparando archivos para Patreon, hemos visto que algunos de nuestros modelos son demasiado grandes para encajar en un pack mensual. Solo serán unos pocos modelos, pero para evitaros costes mayores, en lugar de ponerlos directamente en la tienda online a un precio mayor, os daremos la oportunidad de desbloquearlos gratuitamente durante la campaña de KS. Algunos serán modelos nuevos como estos Kuakuauitl, con distintas opciones para chamán y ballesta, y otros serán modelos de nuestra última campaña y que muchos estáis deseando reescalar

Today we bring you an example of how we have prepared and cut up the models for 3D printing. As you can see, we have added spaces for 7mm magnets, allowing you to assemble, disassemble and combine the models to your liking without having to use too much space at home. In addition, we have hollowed out the pieces that have needed it to save material but without compromising its structure.

Como podéis ver, hemos añadido espacios para imanes de 7mm, permitiéndoos montar, desmontar y combinar los modelos a vuestro gusto sin tener que usar demasiado espacio en casa. Además, hemos ahuecado las piezas que lo han necesitado para ahorrar material pero sin comprometer su estructura.

Hello, everybody! the 3d print campaign will be launched on the 6th of APRIL

Remember that the pieces are modular and can be magnetized, so there are multiple options.
In the KS campaign there will be several versions to unlock walls, corners and stairs, to give even more diversity to your "small" constructions.

First of all, we hope you are all well and taking advantage of the quarantine to paint your armies.
This morning we were showing you the FDM printing process that we used to test our pieces. And this is the final result!
Simply SPECTACULAR, we couldn't be happier. The level of detail has far exceeded our expectations, as well as the ease of assembly with the magnets, which makes transport and storage much easier.

Hola a todos!, la campaña de escenografía para impresión 3d se pondrá en marcha el próximo 6 de ABRIL

Recordad que las piezas son modulares y se pueden imantar, por lo que hay multiples opciones.
En la campaña del KS habrá varias versiones para desbloquear de muros, esquinas y escaleras, para dar todavía mayor diversidad a vuestras "pequeñas" construcciones.

Lo primero, esperamos que estéis todos bien y aprovechando la cuarentena para pintar vuestros ejércitos.
Esta mañana os enseñábamos el proceso de impresión mediante FDM que hemos utilizado para testear nuestras piezas. Y este es el resultado final!
Sencillamente ESPECTACULAR, no podríamos estar más contentos. El nivel de detalle ha superado con creces nuestras expectativas, así como la facilidad del montaje con los imanes, que facilita enormemente el transporte y guardado.
