I play the game and I enjoy it quite a bit. It has some draw backs (server bugs where you cant find a server except by hitting refresh multiple times, Herbie cant eat grass but only from certain bushes, and your servers that you have characters on arnt saved so you have to remember what server you logged from...these are my three biggest issues atm) but I hear there is a big Feb recoding which is supposed to address more than a few things.
I do wish that you could be more dinos atm but you can become sauropods on some servers via special raffles or by people making nests and them inviting you to "hatch" from an incubated egg (this is how you become a Stegosaurus also as example or an Anklyasaurus).
I think it has its draw backs, but from what I hear the dev's are working on the issues and in general is a nice game, I've played for more than a few hours and have enjoyed it each time with minor frustrations.
On one server I am a Parasaurolphalus (second fav dino behind Stegosaurus for me) and I've been full grown for about 4 days now, which I hear is pretty good lol you will die A LOT in the game whether from starvation, thirst or from a Carnivore, but that's how the game is designed. I like the realism (such as cant track during storms or if someone runs through a river you lose their scent) but like all games it needs some tweaks.
I also have Path of Titans, but that is just in demo atm so it's not a true comparison yet, very curious how they will compare once a more full version of PoT comes out.
If you see Sudsinabucket in your global chat, it's me

feel free to say hi, I'm usually a Herbivore and if not usually an Allosaurus but I very much prefer being a Herbie
My herbivore server is: Life Finds a Way #1 which has mix packing
My carnivore Server is: Pangea Survival which is a more traditional server with pack limits (t rex can only have 2 in a group as example)
I'd be happy to join another sever or even if someone made a Lustria Online server (I suppose I could even host it) I'd join in and play with people, though not sure how Hosting works.
Each server seems to have their own discord, which is nice for communicating
