  • WFB Dwarfs / Dispossessed

  • Fyreslayers

Congrats!

Any particular units?
Yesterday I got...
  • 3X Daemonsmiths
  • 10X Infernal Guard with shields
  • Deathshrieker Rocket
Today I got...
  • Infernal Guard full command
  • Magma Cannon

I good little start! Obviously I'll need some more core, but until then I can simply add them to my WoC army. I also already own quite a few Hellcannons!

How long has this poll been around? I voted #2 Classic Dwarfs.

But I guess, put me in the Book of Grudges because I want to add the KO Gunships in as alt-sculpt Gyro-Bomber/Copters.

“Grudge#.......Name.........Grudge
7564367........Pendrake....Wrong-thinking”

What an awesome set of presents, I remember you really wanted some. The price may have held you back for a while, but no longer!

I look forward to seeing pics of them painted sometime within the next 3-5 years ;)

Yeah I voted KO since I've played them and I think they are really cool but if I had to choose only one to be in the game I would have to pick classic dwarves.

Someone around here predicted that the next box would be Lizards v. KO? They were half correct. Somebody else penciled in Tzeentch-Things because they had gone awhile since a new book.

The KO are the faction that has really tempted me to buy in to one new AgeSiggy faction (...Instead of trying to find ways to use my old models). Because I really like the look of the gunships. But then I have to consider the rest of the troops...I really like the super, super, clanky, 100% metal-covered look of the individual dwarves...but then I have to put up with them appearing to hang helplessly from what looks like lead balloons.

It just, no... Not even.

The balloons are supposed to be essentially jet-packs, or flight suits. You can't see it very well in most pictures cuz you look at them from the front, but if you look at them from behind they actually have ways to propel themselves and control their movement in the air instead of just aimlessly bobbing around.

Here's a picture.

Did they shelve that anti-physics nonsensical business (?) about them having to weight themselves down in order to sink down near to the ground (like divers in diving bells o_O ...except air :cyclops: ) ???

Kinda hoping so...

Well since that's how a regular balloon works as well I guess they still need to (either weigh the thing down, or eject hot air). Assuming of course they don't just want to leave a big red splash. I'd assume that the dwarfs themselves would plummet down quickly enough without any equipment.

The lore is that the metal they use is lighter than air so they just use very simple mechanics to propel themselves, stills advanced but it only has to propel their weight. Atleast that's my understanding of it.

Which is a neat bit of lore for AoS. I consider them to be the most original new AoS army. They look really neat and have a really cool background.

The new Kharadron Battletome will be coming next week, and with cover art as awesome as this, I’m not surprised that GW decided to bring it to the front of the queue:

Interestingly, unlike their Fyreslayer cousins, the Kharadron will not be getting any form of endless spells it seems as GW only said Tzeentch ones will be coming, but it makes sense given that they stubbornly insist on using reliable science over wishy-washy magic.
