I never shave (full beard), but I am curious: what about it could be political?

No Shave November in theory raises awareness for prostate cancer. In some cases it might even raise funds for prostate cancer research. That's technically political, but it's not really controversially political because "cancer is bad" is something pretty much everyone agrees on.

I doubt some of these memes really require the spoiler tag.
But I suppose it's better to err on the side of caution.
I completely agree, I was just being (overly) cautious for other's sake. There have been a couple of others in the similar vein that don't really spoil any plot points but do provide tidbits of information (the look of a character, a catch phrase, etc.). I've been following the creed that it is better to put a spoiler tag onto something that might not need it then to miss putting a tag on something that does require it.

Although I have no idea how people are avoiding these spoilers on other forms of social media. My Facebook feed is full of them.

Edit: If I am being too liberal in my application of spoiler threads, let me know, and I'll revert to a more commonsense approach of only shielding major plot points and reveals.
