Can we have some greater good memes?

Thanks, I’m indoctrinated with the lizardmen but I need the same with the Tau. These memes will help, for the greater good.

Real talk here, these tau seem like the Soviet Union, and my mom tells me horror stories about growing up under them. Gotta wonder if there really is any good in the tau..

From what I have read about them (I own the Codex since I wanted to start that army if I ever play 40k) that's not correct. Their philosophy has some similarities, but it seems that - in contrast to the Soviets who really didn't care a bit about their regular citizens - they really mean it. And the quality of life for regular dudes on their planets (even for non-Tau) seems to be orders of magnitude better than basically everywhere else.

Sure, they would easily pass as the bad guys in pretty much any other science fiction universe, but it seems that in comparison to the other factions in 40k they are probably as close to being called "the good guys" as it is possible in that universe.
...but then, the same would apply to the Soviet Union. Even regular 1940s Nazis would pass as the good guys in 40k.

Yes, yes I have the time.
He does not serve, he rules!

Pretty much. Killing a thousand Psykers a day (for the last... 10000 years or so?) to keep the throne working and such stuff... wtf...

One of the worst offenders are the Grey Knights. Their ammo need to be blessed by pure blood from HUMAN SACIFICE. Their armour partially is created by the distilled souls of psykers. Once they were fighting the forces of Khorne, and to avoid being corrupted they had to slaughter an entire strike force of sisters of battle and BATHE IN THEIR PURE BLOOD to avoid being corrupted BY THE BLOOD GOD.
The writing is just so...ugh sometimes.

Also this might be a print error but there is a planet out there that houses more Imperial guardsmen than there are observable particles in the universe.

Which is total BS, when you consider that the main strenght of the GK is their force of will and their mind power. They are untouched by chaos because of that, and all of their weaponry is empowered by their psichic emanations... so the whole concept of blood sacrifice for them made absolutely no sense, even in a senseless background as the one of 40k.
GK are pure mind and soul weaponry.

The Sister of Battle bit has been retconned for a while now. The guy after Matt Ward did a pretty good job of scrubbing the shit out of that Codex.
