AoS Is the Lizardmen Saurus Warriors and Lizardmen Saurus Knights box the same as the Seraphon ones?

Hey everyone,

Title says it all. I found someone selling a box of warriors and a box of knights for 40$ total. The boxes are still wrapped in plastic and I'm seriously considered picking it up. Square bases aside (I don't mind forking out a bit extra for bases), are the kits identical before I pull the trigger?

What about the warriors? Since Warriors recently went up, I could easily save 55 bucks plus taxes by getting these older ones.

edit: just looked at the image you attached, those will be indentical to the current seraphon sets!

Also, warriors were not in the most recent price increase. Only skinks and starpriest i believe.

Last point, those prices aren't wildly cheaper than you can get on ebay on any given day. Dunno if that helps or hurts, but /shrug

So for both Warriors and Knights there have been more than one kit over the years. Knights were updated more recently than warriors but we're still talking like 10+ years ago.

I'd imagine both box sets are identical to the seraphon one.

According to my previous purchase of warriors, they were 45. This was in April of this year. Also, Stegadons/Engines have gone up as well.

Saurus are currently $40 on the GW site for me. I'm not saying they haven't gone up in price ever, but the most recent price increase that leaked a few days ago did not have saurus warriors or engines on the list.

The WHFB boxes in the image you attached contain the same sprues as the Warriors & Knights from the start collecting box.

Only differences are the square/rectangular bases, like you mentioned, and the Saurus box lets you build 16 warriors instead of the 20 that the newer AoS labeled boxes come with. The Knights box builds 8 like AoS one.

Not a bad deal for $40!

Good thing I plan on getting a second start collecting box. The extra two saurus warriors from each box will round out that 16 number. I'll have a total of 60. It just means I will have to dismantle my custom (crappily built) Astrolith star bearer. I'm OK with that.
