Hey all,

Pretty new to the page and only started the hobby little over a month ago. Seraphon/Lizardmen were really the only option for me, how could one pick any other race over Aztec Dinosaurs? Anyway, I wanted to share some of my current projects and get some feed back. Most of what is shown are Works In Progress so please share thoughts but remember much is still to be done, especially on the Thunderlizard.

Right now I am working on my "Cohort of Poisonous Mists" an army that specializes in Ambush and posion attacks led by both an Oldblood and a Starpriest who rides atop one of the Few Thunderlizards.

They are integral to the fight against clan pestilence as not only do they specialize in poison warfare, they are also virtually immune to it. During the first invasion when many spawning pools were being desecrated by the Clan one spawning pool produced thousands of saurus who would come out sickly and die almost instantly, until one saurus came out healthy. This saurus was created through pain and anger, making it more aggressive and savage than most Saurus; it also had the side effect of being immune to all toxins and disease due to its spawning pool being tainted by 1000s of different posions and diseases. This Saurus Oldblood would be named "Acattopa'CocotonaCocoxqui" or loosely translated "The First to Destroy Disease". He seeks out all skaven but relishes in destroying those that disease his forest and long ago killed most of his spawn kin, all but a hand full. His spawning pool still intact now produces saurus immune to disease and toxins and often come out in brightly colored scale patterns; Acattopa'CocotonaCocoxqui himself came out a fiery red-orange which burns just as brightly as his rage and savagery....

Thanks!

Thanks! Its been a real joy painting and coming up with a story for them, looking forward to sharing more!

And yes lol she is a Thunderlizard after all! Going to come up with rules and everything for her as well.

Thanks!

Awesome looking army! I like the backstory too!
Hey thanks! Im enjoying having a creative outlet for sure! Need to figure out how to tie it into AOS at some point! Ha.

As for the Army, Posion Dart Frogs are a strong influence :) vibrant

Nice work! Where is that thunder lizard from? Can we get a height estimate? (inches/cm?)

Its a Brachiosaurus diorama model :) It measures 17in tall/5.5inch wide/12inch long. Trog is about 4.5inch at the tip of it sail, Dread Saurian is about 7.5inch at its tallest spike

Thanks! Its been a joy

I dont think the start is half bad, using krazy glue and medical wrap to keep it together and as straps! I dont think it looks half bad, and am curious how it will be after painted

Excellent painting you got going on! While I (sadly) am not a large player of fantasy the models still look excellent. The general color scheme and overall contrast are excellent on the models. The thunder lizard looks awesome and I am excited to see what you do with it next.

And now onto minor things to fix: really one thing, the gold. While it looks nice it’s a bit uneven, so you could try thinning the paint with Lahmian Medium or some other paint thinner.

Thank you! I just started over a month ago and am having an absolute blast! Admittedly, it has for the time being taken over my life and I should probably find some balance...but until then! :-p

I was eyeing over her again and agreed, the gold in particular on her (and on a few others) does look a tad uneven, so I will look into a medium of some sort for sure and maybe go back over it to even it out. I also noticed the purple which outlines the skin pattern is fading, so another layer of that may also be in order. Thanks for your feed back!

Love the creative use of the items :D

Looks great so far, Keep up the Good work!

Excellent work.

Also love the Dinotopia artwork in your profile pic :D:artist:. I met the author of those once, he seemed like a really nice guy, and I love his artwork!

Been working hard on my seraphon, have made great progress on my Troglodons, Scar Vet and Star Priest specifically. Also many warriors which Ill share pictures of in a bit and some new razordon and salamander proxies came into today, Im excited!

WIP

C&C always welcome! Still learning :)

A patrol from the main Cohort sets out to check out rumors of a Skaven den under a small ruined village in the realm of life. Alarielle too occupied with fighting else where is blessed to have the Seraphons help

This patrol includes: Saurus warriors, Cold one Riders, two Troglodons one of which has a blessed Oldblood riding on top, a skink star priest with his Sphere of Galaxies ontop of a mighty Thunderlizard who also hauls a number of Saurus Warriors ontop of her howdah.

All (or most) are wips, just wanted to take some outside shots :) hope you all like!

The guy who is printing the Howdah for me is having some technical issues, so he printed a plastic version just to show the details, came out much better than I thought! Still would prefer resin though I think...20190822_132748.jpg 20190822_132806.jpg 20190822_132815.jpg 20190822_132833.jpg 20190822_132839.jpg 20190822_132851.jpg 20190822_132908.jpg 20190822_132917.jpg 20190822_133000.jpg received_1130173877169942.jpeg

Started the first of 3 Salamanders today :) Though they may be too big for legal play, I still hope to get them into private or local matches someday. Until then Im just enjoying painting these beautiful models and once again looking to nature for my inspiration!
